Internet in Lebanon - General Questions
you can try and tell us what is the result :P

so much waiting time on 1515, finally got to them. they told me to do the upgrade we need to to go the central and choose the plan at the begginning of the next month. Regarding Vdsl, also to go down to the central and ask to provide it (they will do a test to see the eligibility)
Did kreidieh say anything about whether switching between ISPs has been facilitated?
yes it is more easy now, all u need to do is call 1515kfc wroteDid kreidieh say anything about whether switching between ISPs has been facilitated?
I have a similar setup, but I use the Tenda router to extend the connection to the rest of the house. A couple of things to try: first the obvious, make sure that the wireless is enabled on your router. There is a checkbox on the wireless tab to enable it. Secondly, reset the modem to its default settings and see if it works then. Do not use a PPPOE or any other credentials and use it initially as a WAP instead of bridge mode.AVOlio wroteI did physically connect the Wan port of the Tenda router to one of the lan ports on Thomson.
I tried DHCP mode on the Tenda, didn't work. Tried static ip didn't work, tries pppoe also, and didn't work (maybe my credentials are wrong idk).
Only when my pc was connected by lan to Tenda router I had Internet connection, the WiFi network on it had no Internet.
Wifi on Thomson has Internet as always.
Also yes, when u connected the Tenda by lan to the Thomson, they gateway of the Tenda changed to 192.168.2.xx instead of 192.168.1.xx automatically but still didn't work.
Any guides?
All you want to do first is to get the wireless going and then start playing around with the other settings.
so beside the need to go to the central, we need to go to the sale center to get the vdsl modem too?...Almighty wroteso much waiting time on 1515, finally got to them. they told me to do the upgrade we need to to go the central and choose the plan at the begginning of the next month. Yes, it costs you only a phone call to the commercial department.kfc wroteDid kreidieh say anything about whether switching between ISPs has been facilitated?
Thank you for informing us. That's what I had heard from Mr. Kriedieh a month ago. We must go to the centrale to upgrade to the new plans.Almighty wroteso much waiting time on 1515, finally got to them. they told me to do the upgrade we need to to go the central and choose the plan at the begginning of the next month. Yes, he said it has been greatly facilitated. Just call 1515 and they'll give you all the info and it's much faster now.kfc wroteDid kreidieh say anything about whether switching between ISPs has been facilitated?
Yes but how long it take to move from one ISP to ogero or the opposite? How long should we expect to stay without internet while the transfer is being executed?Almighty wroteyes it is more easy now, all u need to do is call 1515kfc wroteDid kreidieh say anything about whether switching between ISPs has been facilitated?
yes thats the process, or u can get your own vdsl modem, iam getting mine 2 weeks from now from top technologies (routers arriving in 2 weeks, already booked mine)Ahmad Toutounji wroteso beside the need to go to the central, we need to go to the sale center to get the vdsl modem too?...Almighty wroteso much waiting time on 1515, finally got to them. they told me to do the upgrade we need to to go the central and choose the plan at the begginning of the next month. Oh god lucky. I asked about that 2 years ago, they said they have no idea what is that! Lmao.iron wroteI contacted ogero yesterday and asked for them to switch from interleaving to fast path. It made a huge difference I have 30ms less ping. The first hop that used to be 40ms is now 8-10 ms. Although Im having some disconnect issues sometimes in games after doing this. Its weird because I have 0% packet loss, decent snr margin cant observe any errors in the dsl router diagnostics.
but we need to ask the central to activate the vdsl no?Almighty wroteyes thats the process, or u can get your own vdsl modem, iam getting mine 2 weeks from now from top technologies (routers arriving in 2 weeks, already booked mine)Ahmad Toutounji wroteso beside the need to go to the central, we need to go to the sale center to get the vdsl modem too?...Almighty wroteso much waiting time on 1515, finally got to them. they told me to do the upgrade we need to to go the central and choose the plan at the begginning of the next month. can someone explain what VDSL differs from ADSL?
im assuming increase in speeds? As in it will reach speeds of 50mbps?
And if i am eligible to get VDSL, where are the plans? Will the same plans/prices of the new announced DSL packages be applied with a difference in speed that will reach 50mbps?
Is that it ?

avolio vdsl max speed is 70mb here as imad said , adsl2+(our current modems) max is 24mb but in my case now on adsl2+ I can get 10-15mb max speed but on vdsl2 I can get 20-50mb
but the process is very complicated and we need to ask the central to activate vdsl2 before getting a vdsl2 modem
Ok so i called ogero's sales, they said the transfer process is still the same as before, it takes 30-45 days without internet and they havent been informed yet by the administration about any improvement to the process. To benefit from vdsl2, you have to be at most away 1.5km from the central or have a sub 20db line attenuation.
