AVOlio wroteI did physically connect the Wan port of the Tenda router to one of the lan ports on Thomson.
I tried DHCP mode on the Tenda, didn't work. Tried static ip didn't work, tries pppoe also, and didn't work (maybe my credentials are wrong idk).
Only when my pc was connected by lan to Tenda router I had Internet connection, the WiFi network on it had no Internet.
Wifi on Thomson has Internet as always.
Also yes, when u connected the Tenda by lan to the Thomson, they gateway of the Tenda changed to 192.168.2.xx instead of 192.168.1.xx automatically but still didn't work.
Any guides?
I have a similar setup, but I use the Tenda router to extend the connection to the rest of the house. A couple of things to try: first the obvious, make sure that the wireless is enabled on your router. There is a checkbox on the wireless tab to enable it. Secondly, reset the modem to its default settings and see if it works then. Do not use a PPPOE or any other credentials and use it initially as a WAP instead of bridge mode.
All you want to do first is to get the wireless going and then start playing around with the other settings.
