I watched a part of the live stream, this is actually very promising, in general the Lebanese people are very talented and once they have the space to work they can actually achieve amazing stuff thats why we see them shine outside and usually they are held back by politics reasons inside Lebanon, with a lot of hope Mr Imad is most likely to move us to a new cyber age, even if took him couple of years or a bit more, we suffered a lot more and wasted a lot of time before.

Check out the link above from hackable----it provides some information, but the details of the new packages have yet to be made public afaik.

Does that mean that if my line can handle lets say 20mb and im on the 2mb package, i will get 20mb ?

or does he mean that if i'm on the 2mb package and currently getting arround 1.6mb , i will start getting actual 2mb ?

you will get the fastest speed that your copper line can handle... according to your attenuation and snr and the router you are using.. you can estimate that fastest speed

they will increase the speed to the max from 8 to 8, it's only for 1 day this increase in speed

That would be my guess and also to identify other weaknesses in the system. If they are going to do this right, it is a good idea to see where they stand. Before, they would just attempt to give everyone what they thought they could give them and 'twakal ala alla'.

Guys just out of curiosity, what is the percentage of your upload traffic from the whole accounted traffic,

mine are:

Upload: 3.133 GB
Down: 13.457 GB
total : 16.59 GB

so upload % is ~18%.

Most likely only ogero , after changing many isp , i believe ogero is the most stable of all, so i recommend moving to ogero as fast as possible

I am definitely considering to switch to ogero especially after reading this:
"New ministry decree will slash the one month wait period between switching ISPs".

yeah--according to his tweet. Seems to be for most all dsl customers.

As it may hit hard, if traffic is counted.

It would be nice to also slash the fact that you have to re-present again all papers to your ISP if you stop a month , or why not give an option to transfer your DSL line from your home to mountain home for let's say summer time, lot of Lebanese have a second home for summer

Finally, ogero activated the FTTC in sharhabel-saida :)

Rate (Kbps): 2048 kbps 511 kbps

SNR Margin (dB): 41.9 25.8
Attenuation (dB): 13.0 9.5

Yesterday my SNR was only 11dB with attenuation 60.1dB
