guys, let's clarifying, when deploying FTTC, nothing will change from the CO to the customer side, since the line attenuation depends only on the connection quality between you (client) and the CO (DSLAM), knowing that the such connections are copper until now, so if we neglect the malfunctioning of the DSL modem, the improvement on SNR maybe comes from changing DSLAM to newer ones or changing cables in your area. that's my opinion.

the whole point of FTTC is putting the DSLAM in a cabinet, connect it fiber for high bandwidth, and place it within 500m from users.

His line stats are amazing but the thing i don't understand is why the modem showing 6-7mbps max rate his line can handle 20mb easily

100%, i'm just assuming that the DSLAM is at the same distance and not re-located.

Is there a way to test my line connection without being subscribed to DSL?
I want to see if i can subscribe and what the speed that i can get.
Ogero telling me that the connection is very bad between the central and my home. My home is far about 5 Km.

i've seen ogero technicians use some kind of device .
maybe after this upgrade your line would be in a better shape

5km is very very bad for dsl i don't think you can get more than 1-2mb at best
