Mayyad If i can get 1 or 2 Mbps it will be good. About 3 years earlier i subscribed with terranet and after a month they told me that the maximum speed that i can get is 256Kbps and i canceled the subscription. Ogero central is telling that the cable providing DSL to the whole area is bad and every time to time they tell us that they are working to fix it, i don't know if there's really a problem with the cable or the area is too far. Anyway i think i am stuck with the expensive 4G internet.
ahmad-toutounji I really can't tell how much exactly you will get by distance only, maybe the cable is in bad shape that's why they couldn't give you a good speed

InVader FTTC means relocating the DSLAM to a cabinet usually within the neighbourhood, so the copper wire length between the DSLAM and modem will be less, and hence better stats.

nuclearcat There is some rumours about new tiered pricing for ISPs(more size - more discount) that will basically made for largest private ISP (we know about who we talk about), and other (smaller) ISPs - will be forced to close, because for them it will be price INCREASE! I guess if it will go forward it gonna be huge scandal and very big embarassment for career of anybody who is involved in such law/prices. Because such stupid pricing will kill totally internet anywhere than rich beirut areas, "old one" and Ogero wont be interested in other areas, and small ISPs there cannot survive anymore.
