It's too early to tell but Starlink in general is meant to be a backup/ failover/ mobile solution where internet access isn't reliable or unavailable. We still don't know how much they are going to charge for the hardware and how expensive the plans are going to be. This was part of the negotiations ongoing as far as I understood.
Ogero is upgrading the infrastructure in Beirut and FTTH is now available in places such as Ras el Nabeh and Sodeco.
The latency part is also not clear yet. We're talking about a 30-60ms just for the link. Port forward is not possible.
The average joe doesn't need more than 50mbps so yeah I guess paying for the hardware and monthly subscription won't be tempting for the majority.
Another problem is link fluctuation and weather...
Will the MOT allow unlimited plans? and by unlimited plans I mean not the unlimited deprioritized home plan.
Again it's too early to tell before doing a side by side comparison between starlink and ie. W-DSL or other FWA.
But I can guarantee you that the mafia in Lebanon has as usual a backup plan to screw us....
