well i guess it wont solve much, coz in the end, u click on the notifier when it notifies u abt u havin new email, and it takes u to the gmail website, so same old song
I even have problems logging in :D:D
Well, I tried to log on using FireFox, it worked fine, but IE is shitty
And the notifier is great, but still some problems connecting to the server
well, gmail is still a beta, so some connection problems must be expected...it's not complete yet

Has anyone tried the Mail2World Notifier? Unlike the Gmail Notifier, this one is loaded with features:

http://www.mail2world.com/s/m2wpublic/notifier/m2w_notifier.asp

- Immediate notification when new email arrives*
- Immediate notification of M2W Calendar reminders*
- Color combinations to match your M2W interface
- Control how often M2W Notifier Service checks for new email
- Two audio alerts announce new messages
- Set unique audio alerts for special email addresses
- Check multiple folders and subfolders for new email
- Can auto-launch M2W when you click on a web page email link
- Complete, easy POP3 setup and control
- Automatic or manual (secure) log-in
- Access popular M2W pages and tools directly from Notifier
- Completely configurable to work the way YOU want.
- One-click version updates
- Lean installation with minimal computer requirements
it seems nice, but i don't really trust a third party company to get my e-mails.
on top of that gmail doesn't like it either and will disable your account
