Zen3 and 3080

Any idea where one can find a 5600x CPU or any of the 5000 Ryzen series in Lebanon? Or, if they will be available at all before the end of the year?

I'm also looking for the 3080 RTX but man the inconsistent prices I'm seeing are ridiculous. Between 750 to 1050$!!

Any suggestions from this community are appreciated!

Sold.

I guess selling 3080s is a great business idea for those into business.

and buying one for 1050$ is a dumb investment in this situation, a 1050$ could make you much more profit if invested properly rather than gain 20fps in a game

Well, each one has its own experience.
I bought over the years 3 ZOTAC GPUs (since the GTX980 till the 2080 Super) and they all worked fine.
Of course, no problem with MSI either.

Checkout ExpertZone &  Mojitech they have several 3080 AIBs at stock different Zotac. Persosnally , I will stay away from Zotac. Cheap builds ,  low end PCB including VRMs - voltage regulator modules phases ,  and inefficient cooling. I will go Asus Strix ,  MSI Trio , Gigabyte Aorus Xtreme.

I was willing to drop the 3080 Asus Strix , from UAE,  but I stopped. The 3080ti 20Vram GDDR6x will be released very soon with an official MSRP of 1000 USD.

I wasn't talking about you or anyone, he said its a good idea to sell 3080s with a markup these days as a business idea. and the opposite is true for who ever buys them with that markup especially in lebanon

Zen 3 CPUs will be available in the country very soon, hopefully before the end of the year.

hehehe, Logitech...

The MSRP prices Nvidia put is not the same price as being sold at retailers abroad. Almost no cards are being sold at MSRP pricing, most of them are very close to the prices they are being sold in Lebanon.

This year was an amazing year for advancements in hardware, however, it was a very very tough year for manufacturers to keep supplying to the demands of the market. It has been a shortage after a shortage, which is causing all these questions and consistencies within the market. It's not just in Lebanon, it's something global.

Oupss Mojitech
As for the Ryzen series 5000 it's not yet available in Europe
I am tempted by the 3700x with an x570 motherboard to accompagne my rtx 3070.
Price is sweet at amazon and no customs to pay on it

If you have anyone in Syria you can get Asus 3080 TUF OC between 1000-1025 from dpsy.com. They are the official agent for ASUS there.

This price was from one month and I didn't check it later.

why not just get the normal version and OC kt yourself? it's the same card that just has a different bios.

the TUF OC version isn't that much higher clocked than the non OC version anyway.

You will be getting it for cheaper locally.

Not all cards are created equal. I am pretty sure AIBs tend to bin their silicons so you have more headroom for OC and some cards use cheap components like Zotac ( google SP-caps vs Mlcc Ampere) which limits your capabilities to OC.

You are absolutely right,

What I mean is if you buy an ASUS TUF OC vs ASUS TUF non-OC (Which shares the exact same part number except for the OC version having a 1 at the end) tend to share the exact same hardware, and the only difference is the BIOS.

However some cards like the STRIX series do indeed have beefier hardware and VRM systems and they tend to have binned chips as well, even on the non-OC versions.

To put it into simple words and conclude what I am saying,

Asus TUF non OC and OC share the same hardware

Asus STRIX non OC and OC also share the same hardware, however that hardware is beefier by default and probably has binned chips to be able to sell them at such high OC stock.

But both series of cards just have a different BIOS  to turn them from non-OC to OC cards, as in a non-OC STRIX card still has the beefy VRM and the binned chip.
