Single-channel means using just one memory stick, while dual-channel means using two sticks which increases memory bandwidth- it gives you nearly 20-30% performance boost over single-channel memory.MrElie wroteWhat do you mean by single-channel ram and dual-channel?
Post your rig
Gives you more bandwidth, but it wouldn't effect performance in games much as far as I know. But yeah, it's just better to have dual channel.Die_Kapitan wroteSingle-channel means using just one memory stick, while dual-channel means using two sticks which increases memory bandwidth- it gives you nearly 20-30% performance boost over single-channel memory.MrElie wroteWhat do u mean by single-channel ram and dual-channel?
@MrElie, your tubes are too long, make them shorter, and PCandParts has the K version for $376. If you were gonna go non K, you could have ditched the risky water cooling and the money on the board

But why not 980 ?
I would go definitely with 980s - with the GTX 980 you'll also get a card that is cooler, quieter, uses less power, offers full DirectX 12 support and access to exclusive graphics settings like DSR, MFAA, TXAA, FXAA, PhysX, HBAO+, and Adaptive VSync. In SLI Even Better , even 970s more worthy thatn R8s of AMD.
