1)Press start -> search for "Turn Windows Features on or off"
2)Scroll down to Telnet Client, and check the box next to it, press OK.
3)Open a cmd session, type "telnet 192.168.1.254"
4)Enter the administrator username and password (the administrator, not the user-user combination!)
5)Type:
xdsl debug multimode config=t1.413issue2+g992.1_annex_a
saveall
6)Done.
Don't leave the telnet session idle for more than 2 minutes, or you'll have to re-login.
Thank you for the reply, this is what my modem parameters look like now:
DSL Type: G.992.1 annex A
Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]: 242 / 1.003
Data Transferred (Sent/Received) [kB/kB]: 0,00 / 0,00
Output Power (Up/Down) [dBm]: 11,0 / 15,5
Line Attenuation (Up/Down) [dB]: 24,5 / 40,0
SN Margin (Up/Down) [dB]: 31,0 / 28,5
Vendor ID (Local/Remote): TMMB / BDCM
Loss of Framing (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
Loss of Signal (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
Loss of Power (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
Loss of Link (Remote): 0
Error Seconds (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
FEC Errors (Up/Down): 0 / 0
CRC Errors (Up/Down): 0 / 0
HEC Errors (Up/Down): 0 / 0
As you can see my SN Margin Down increased nicely, Line Attenuation down a bit, but however I don't see any differences in ping.
Edit: apparently on 992.1 my pings are just slightly higher than 992.5!
