Well I just found out 2 new things:
1) You can't choose a new plan now, I don't know what was wrong with the person on the phone who told me to go and pick a new plan :/
2) My CO (Mrayjeh) don't have neither 6-8Mbps capabilities nor HDSL, so the maximum speed they provide is 4Mbps, and it's available for everyone regardless of their line attenuation (they don't ask about it, if you want the 4Mbps plan, you get it).
I don't think that line attenuation is the main criterion of what speed you can get, I bet some people in rural areas have better parameters than mine (I'm at 50dB down), and they can't get 1Mbps (I'm at 2Mbps, and I can have 4Mbps).
