it's nice, but who designed the boards ? for example the serial-to-relay interface ? it's not exactly how i would have done it, but it works
Keep the good work :)
:) aii.. nice keep it up !
Waw! Love it! Keep up!
Thanks euryale , Padre , Mir and Rita :)
Guys , its finally connected to the computer and functional ! , here is a pic of the interface coded in java , pressing the arrow buttons on the keyboard now move the tank !
Amazing. Time for another Video on Youtube :) and please. try your best jad to have a good quality camera.
Jad man you have good cameras ! Why do all your videos turn up with bad quality.
Ya good quality ya dnt tease us with 0.8 FPS footage
I have many good cameras , but not one single decent internet connection to upload a multi-megabyte video ;) , ill see what i can do this time .
Edit : work is being done at the moment to interface joystick control on the tank .

Nice Work ...
Thanks :)
again awesome work jad.. waiting for that youtube vid :)
Thanks again flak , ill try to do some video first thing tomorrow morning ! :)
Updates : software is now recognizing joysticks connected to the computer , whats left is some mathematical calculations to connect it to the program X,Y axis ! , and after that comes the implementation of some AI ! letting the tank roam on its own ! :)
the interface is being done by my two programing friends Ayman farhat and nader sleiman / Ayman will be working later on the Artificial intelligence .

The software and its source can be found here for people interested ! :)
This is some cool stuff you got there. Love the PC interaction part. You only need a camera in there, and you would be on the way to make an autonomous vehicle.
thanks arithma ! :) i guess a camera is the next step ! :)
here is the link for the youtube video ! :)

Nicely done Jad, Ayman and Nader.
Thanks.
project is nearing its finish , Sharp IR sensor is installed at the front of the tank , a rotational IR "radar" is to be set atop the vehicle . program now is very advanced taking action from joysticks and various inputs , as well as 4 outputs to be increased to 8 soon ! :) here are the new pics , a full report will be released on the project once we finish . a software part by the programing team Ayman Farhat and Nader Sleiman , and a hardware part by me .

why didn't you use infrared instead of antenna would have been cooler ;)
maybe this :s http://www.dharmanitech.com/2009/01/ir- … motor.html
infrared? he would need to have a direct line of sight at all time and would have to point towards the tank to send commands. infrared sucks big time.
i still vote for bluetooth (or WiFi) and controlling it from a phone. even better, using and iphone/ipod touch or whatever phone has an accelerometer to drive it.
but still infrared doesnt require antenna

im not looking for cooler , im looking for functionality , with RF i have freedom to move anywhere with no line of sight ;) while with IR i need to have the TX facing the tank at all times .
battikh you can guide by some link how to do so would have been better than talking ...

i wrote what i wrote above before seeing what you wrote :)
yeah blutooth or wifi would be great as well as controlled with a mobile , will be hopefully in a next step ;)
