Re: Tutorial: Extract OGERO router and PPPoE Username and Pass

I think that it was hashed against the serial number. Anyway we can try this.

Press Disconnect so that the password is shown with **** and then put this on the address bar and press enter.

javascript:(function(){var s,F,j,f,i; s = ""; F = document.forms; for(j=0; j<F.length; ++j) { f = F[j]; for (i=0; i<f.length; ++i) { if (f[i].type.toLowerCase() == "password") s += f[i].value + "\n"; } } if (s) alert("Kwdikoi pou vrethikan:\n\n" + s); else alert("Den yparxoun formes kwdikwn s afti ti selida.");})();

grrr.. I will keep on searching but it seems a bit complex. unless someone here has decrypted similar type of passwords. AFAIK hash is one way encryption and the device is using the serial number to encrypt the pass.

Re: Tutorial: Extract OGERO router and PPPoE Username and Pass

Not that a want to troll or anything, but doesn't that raise serious points of the proprietary vs "free" debate? I mean I don't know about Ogero, but technically they have the right to forbid these acts. Now I know legal issues are somewhat looser, especially when it comes to Lebanon, but from a theoretical point of view, we should take a look.

There's a post I really liked:

Kareem - good job! You are right, if you paid for modem - you have full right to configure it as you want.

What about software? If you paid for it, don't you have the "full right to configure it as you want?"

Anyway, just a thought don't start a flame ...

rahmu - most of software is virtual property and actually you don't own it, you just have right to use it as it is developed.

If you want full rights to change and configure - use open source.

Re: Tutorial: Extract OGERO router and PPPoE Username and Pass

Hey all, as i understood from this thread it's that u can get the passwords to change your router.

The issue im having is a bit different:
I have the dsl connection from ogero and with it the wireless D-Link router.

The thing is that when i log in to the router using the Admin username and passwords (not the user, default ones)

I cant access all the options. (I know that there are more options since i downloaded the user manual from the internet. More options as port forwarding etc... )

Even if i hard reset the router these options remain hidden when i login using the admin default username and passwords. Do you have any idea if Ogero locked these options ?

Is it possible to access them ?

I'm sorry if this is the wrong thread to be posting this. But its the closest to my issue.

thx
