As the iPod and other players are increasingly woven into the fabric of our lives, something like this could actually be useful. Attached to your iPod-enabled clothes or bags by Velcro or magnet, the knob could preclude unnecessary fumbling in cramped quarters. Of course, if you want more than volume control, you can always go the full remote route.

beh! have you guys seen the clothes that are ipod friendly? ie stop-play-pause etc buttons on the shirt itself :S

This knob looks big enough to be anMP3 player in itself.

I thought this was an mp3 player and controlled by a rotating knob, sort of like BMW i drive. But this is deceiving... just a volume control???
This is gross. Who needs such a big volume control... exept if you're 90 years old and you have parkinsons disease.

Personally I just set the volume once and then forget about it.
