Fast Connection In Lebanon!!

I was wondering, where can we get the fastest connection in Lebanon, i've tried Wireless in my office but it sucked, dial up ....same thing...
Do you have any idea of a Broadband , microwave , super connection ...

As for me i'm on a 8meg adsl (can reach 1 mb dl on some good servers)

i used to have a fast cable connection, 50 down, and around 15 up, dunno how much exactly...anyways, thats the fastest i've ever had...

well guys i have great news for you
Today I Had a meeting with fiberlink networks they were proposing to install in my office an 8 m up down connection. On Monday i'll get my quotation... Halla2 how much i guess in thousands dollars and i'm sure the administration won't give me this budget. What the HEll we're kinda improving in here.
If a 64 down dedicated and 64 over 2 up at 500 $ imagine the price of 8 mb connection

well had the meeting with another company providing us 128dedicated up down
with all ports opened i will recieve the quotation by tuesday
as for the others company i met prices range for 64 dedicated are 750$...

exactly i spoke with them they are offering up to 2mb connection
but still Fiberlinks are the fastest for an 8mb connection .....
i actually had a meeting with them for a 64 dedicated up down it was a good quotation but such projects cost thousands

Well Here in sin el fil they make a 15 Kbs download and fix and upload 8 -9 kb ... but in other way they make a limit for the download:S they limiit it to 100 MB/day ... and if u pass this limit they will fire ur username till the next day so its toooo bad!!!:@

as for my connection, chi ktir ta3iss...7kilos average DL, upload is null no numbers though...no cam, no voice, no ftp...
and the bastard forbid me from downloading during weekdays after i "borrowed" some stuff off of his network.. but i can downlaod now meche l'7al

I guess I am lucky to have a reliable 12KB download (even during the winter... storms and stuff...) during a storm we may go offline for 15 or 20 minutes.. 2 years ago we used to go offline for a few days after each storm, 2al shu?! il hubs byighlo   
P2P progs, cam, voice... all running... bas still nothing comparable to other cnxns like 1 MB for example! :x

@7arami man fi 8MB connection if you pay like 5000$ but remember the max speed for home use in here i guess it's 128 wou iz kattaret 512  but for offices max sar fi 8mb.

Has anyone tried the 512k wireless broadband plan from any of the ISPs?

I noticed that cyberia and tdm have a requirement for eligibility. You need to have 3 other people in your building with broadband before you're eligible.

However, terranet didnt mention anything about that in their EULA.

How efficient is the 512k connection? Does the speed vary? Anyone know wether its a 802.11x standard that they are operating on?

If you've used this service I'd really like to hear from you. Thanks.

I have a friend (DxDevil) who's using IDM's broadband plan, and I think the download speed is ~approx 15KB/s. you can PM him for more info, anyways i'll tell him to check out this topic.
