paypal is being recommended by a lot of people .. even though some hate them for odd reasons :?

Is ordering via Paypal secure ? I want to order some t-shirts but I read so many articles against Paypal saying that it's unsecure,... For those who tried it please tell me what do you think of it..

i used it a couple of times .. seems harmless to me .. it's mostly used by ebay users. . so i guess it's trusted enough ..

but .. does it work in lebanon ?
