A press release from the Vatican which arrived in the INQ’s religious department where it steamed at us with righteous indignation and burnt the first demonic PA that tried to open it. It turns out that the papal spinners wanted to tell us about how many emails the Holy Father had received since he got sick. Unfortunately blessing such mails always causes us a bit of a theological problem and we had to ask them to email it to us instead. It turns out that the Holy Father’s email is here [john_paul_ii@vatican.va], just in case you want a chat. Since he posted his address more than 20,000 emails have shown up in his in tray between March 1 to March 3. The INQ inbox had about the same number of emails during the same people, but they were trying to sell us stuff. Letters in English, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, and German have been arriving daily for the Holy Father, wishing him well, a speedy recovery and a prompt return to his ministry as Pope and Bishop of Rome.
Anyway the Papal spinners said that the letters arrive from doctors, heads of volunteer organizations, housewives and mothers, students, religious congregations, hospital employees, pastors and parishioners and ‘ordinary people'.. The blessed Spinners said that most are emails short letters wishing that the Pope will get better and how admired he is, and how he is the best theocratic figure in the whole wide world etc. We will take their word as holy writ.
thanks for the news :) .. i should send him something ...
