I have another Tip for .com, .net, .org, etc..
don't type http:// before www.
don't type http:// before www.
it does not always work ( https:// and ftp:// )
exactly....when it's an ftp, it's totally different
kil meet http byotla3 fi we7de ftp :p
khalas mar2oule yeha, l3ama ma as2alkon :P

actually http is totally different from ftp!
and basically most of the sites don't need the protocol http specified at the beginning because it is interpreted by default!
and basically ftp are for special use, I don't think anyone who's just browsing will fall for an ftp site! ftp stands for file transfer protocol and usually contains downloadable file, it can be seen as a normal directory (folder), used for sharing between universities and big organization,etc...

Which reminds me, what are your feekback on firefox? i haven't used it! and I want to know if its performance is differing from OS/platform to another!?
well, i love it!
It's faster*, more secure, and open-source
it also has lots of extentions (very small downloads, ~30Kbs) like download managers, privacy tools ect..
*: it loads text first, which gives the speedy effect.
BTW, checkout the firefox topic, in the "general software" section.

firefox is pretty good...its morefreindlyuserthenIE, but in fact i dont think its faster.
I use some plugins and ican asure u IE take less time to load them then FF
The way firefox is faster is that actually it loads images in the end (usualy after displaying the text) so it's kind of cool...
But the best thing in FireFox in my opinion is that unlike explorer it dosen't resize stupidly webpages
My laptop is widescreen with a resolution of 1680-1050...Explorer resizes images and the graphics gets too pixelized...its awfull...
FireFox leaves the images as is with the ability to increase font size (like explorer) but without changing image size so the webpage still looks as is

Images in FireFox open resized already..FireFox leaves the images as is with the ability to increase font size (like explorer) but without changing image size so the webpage still looks as is
Well I like FireFox, especially the Tabs features, where you can open more than one page in the same window, but as ragnar said, it doesn't load faster, but it shows what it loaded already, that's one of the good things in it, but it also bores u while waiting for the rest of the page to open
I like the fact that you can download and install themes for Mozilla Firefox.(Try downloading Noia (eXtreme) 2.79 theme for Mozilla Firefox)
themes for a browser? lol, i did not see that coming
neither did I.
