I have Cakewalk and it's only for recording your own music...never knew there was another software for tabs....
Yeah I can't imagine my life without Guitar Pro...I mean it takes like hours to tab a whole song by ear but with Guitar Pro all you need is a fracture of second to download it...
Really useful but kind of makes you lazy...
Oh and don't ask me who finished the tabs of We'll Burn The Sky 8)

My dad teaches piano and keyboards....I learnt since I was 3 but when I came to live in Lebanon I didn't touch the Piano so I kind of lost it now...and didn't regret it till I started playing guitar...:rolleyes:

well guitar pro is an amazing program designed for guitarits in the beginning which used to tab gp files, but later it became more sofisticated and actually the program can take compositions for any instrument (guitar, bass, drums, keyboard...) it gives tabs or tabs and notes together for any intrument, and if it's a tab for the guitar, it can be arranged on a 7 strings guitar for example.
Other than that you can change octave, make them lower or higher...
