Hi guys
I still have android 5.0.2 on my s6.
I'd like to know which version you have with the build number please.
& let us also use this thread to post about new galaxy s6 updates

Since you're a tech geek and a tech lover, I'm shocked you didn't root this phone and install a custom recovery/rom!
Samsung software is always junk as it is! It needs to be debloated so you can get more free ram!
I'm sure you have that very bad multitasking that occurs on the S6!
My friend you're right about rooting. But sincerely i'm a little worried about warranty, so i's think about rooting after the phone's been with me for months. And i'd like to try the official software because i think samsung made a huge improvement with touchwiz.

Yeah TechLover, you can also upgrade it via ODIN which doesn't trip any Knox and doesn't void warranties. It's simply a shortcut to th update instead of waiting months for it. Check xda developers for details.

Usually Poland get the first updates! Dunno why but it is what it is!

I am currently running the official 5.1.1 rom for the note 4 N910C! It has been released in only one country: Poland. I flashed that straight away.

You can try that too.

Finally i flashed the latest uae version on my s6 because it seems it's the one addressed to the middle east countries.

Anyway my friend who got the s6 from samsung ctc directly has a thr firmware version so i assume there is no firmware specific to Lebanon. But me i've got mine from stars (amhaz) with xsg csc code.
But it seems that uae gets the updates first.
Does it mean people with phones from ctc won't get an ota update or via keys(smartswitch effectively)? And the people with xsg csc code like me? any idea?
Anyone can share which firmware version does his s6 currently have ??

These issues have never been addressed with Samsung despite the fact that many people complain. It doesn't mean that a specific model won't get the updates, it's just a matter of time. For example, many Note 4 models received their 5.0 updates almost 6-8 months ago. I haven't yet received mine. I can always flash my phone like you have and I will have 5.0, but if I was not tech-savy I would still be stuck on 4.4.4.
