Customs commissioner for a $15 item lol, will probably call them tomorrow and ask what are the additional fees and if they amount to anything more than $2 will probably let them keep it

I ordered something that cost $2, they shipped it with TNT, how much do you think they will charge me for VAT and customs? Anyone been through that before?

One week from Singapore, 2+ Weeks in Customs. They really should make a better system for this

I'm not sure, but all my smaller items took longer time, perhaps they sink in the bottom of whatever they store them in. My bigger items generally take less time.
Like i said, once i got an item in hands one week after order, it was sent from china directly to germany then to Lebanon, another thing i noticed, stuff from europe and U.S. have some kind of priority, they usually stay max 2 days in customs My orders on ebay confirm this.

If it's small packet plus it can take 3 months

unfortunately it's not, with aliexpress standard shipping as well as china post express, i still have to wait at least 1.5 month.

I never really had to wait more than 60-70 days.
Only once, an item i had ordered took 4months but I'm almost certain that it traveled back to china then here.

some times they didn't ship item at all.
some times the parcel refused by customs in china
some times the parcel lost on its way
you have to open dispute if you didn't received your parcel within 60 days

in the last 8 months Most of my parcels shipped from china through Netherland post not arrived Lebanon.
wait more than 4 months and more than 12 parcrls not arrived from 20 parcels total. only 8 arrived.
does any faced problem like me with Netherland post?

I've been getting a netherlander tracking number but didn't know why, it must be a new chinese trick-workaround something. I genuinely thought that sellers had warehouses in netherlands. I shall wait and give you back my feedback, as only a couple of days have passed since I made my orders.

Not from ali but from japan, an item of mine arrived to airport in 7 days and got sent to distribution office same day(today), not handed to customs. Anyone had a similar experience?

I think it will be handed to customs when an item needs further inspection (like tech related stuff).
I got some books from amazon and they didn't pass through customs.

Ok i got the items. They came in a big box. Reinforcing ny earlier theory.
Now I'm starting to like the guys at customs. Aliexpress item 1 day at customs then delivered next day to me

oh since you ordered mobile phone you need to clear customs. Call liban post and ask them what to do, never had to pay customs before. sorry.
