Anyone of you who turned off interleaving is having spikes?
60 to 280 to 70 to 300-380 to 180 to 60 etc....
Haven't tested online gaming yet.
Guys i need help, internet coming on and off like crazy. In router gateway,DSL connection disconnected but internet connected.Does it have to do with interleaving? Been working fine the past 6 hours.
Edit:Back to nornal, unusual loss of framing
Loss of Framing (Local/Remote): 431 / 0
Loss of Signal (Local/Remote): 33 / 0
Loss of Power (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
Loss of Link (Remote): 0
Error Seconds (Local/Remote): 40 / 0
FEC Errors (Up/Down): 0 / 0
CRC Errors (Up/Down): 0 / 11
HEC Errors (Up/Down): 0 / 0

i have interleaving off. been stable and awesome all the time so far. tried online gaming it runs much quicker now it is noticeable and btw I played cod AW and I got full bars for ping :).
you are right it is not intentional, but it's not because of loss in copper wires but rather simply packet overhead and the way TCP/IP works. in dsl you have 3 types of encapsulation running simultaneously,Ethernet which includes Tcp/ip, PPPoe and ATM link each adds its own overhead tcp/ip 40bytes,PPPoe 8bytes and ATM 5 bytes the latter is worse because its frames are small 53byte in total and some can't be filled so you end up with around 15% overhead/loss.
If I am not mistaken, in a TCP/IP packet the headers for TCP, IP, and Ethernet in their simplest and most common combined form take only 54 bytes of space. This leaves the rest of the 1446 bytes of the packet to data. So it's [ (54/1500) * 100 ] = 3.6% total overhead which is far from the approximate 20% loss experienced with Ogero.

Yes that's true, but you forgot about the PPPoe and ATM, PPPoe adds another 8bytes and ATM splits all packets to 53byte smaller packets with 5byte header again.
let's say every Ethernet frame needs 28 ATM packets we have
54+8(ethernet+pppoe)=62bytes
28*5(ATM headers)=140bytes
so total headers for 1 ethernet frame through DSL is 140+62=202bytes
202/1500*100=13.4% and that's the BEST case scenario not calculating any padding due to empty frames and ATM cells and general TCP/IP operation usually it is around 15% or more.
that's a crude calculation offcoarse, but for example Ogero provides you with a 1Mbps link through DSL you receive 870kbps(-15%) the loss is 100% due to overhead and nothing to do with them, they could increase the Speed to account for that since they advertise 1Mbps internet and not a 1Mbps Dsl data link but you know this won't happen.

For those that are on the 2M40GB, I got my speed upgrade a few days ago after contacting Nader Rifai, but for some reason the ogero page still shows my old Speed: 1024 Kbps/256 Kbps, I'd like to check those of you who got the speed upgrade did the page get updated?
It turns out I have a problem and DSL maintenance are going to visit asap(that's what Mr.Nader told me),can't wait to check out my new stats!Do you think they are going to come today?

It changed after a month.
Problem with what doom? Line or modem or ...?

I don't know, sometimes I get lots of loss of framing, sometmes lots of HECs.I just know that my line attenuation should be much less.
Hey guys is my connection stable to turn off interleaving?

You got no errors so yes,the output power is weird tho.
You got specs close to my line(mine are better in 5 in everything) and no errors so yeah you're good to go
Thank you Doom and Ahmad will contact Mr. Rifai after I update my router (it's restarting like crazy)
Hi I live in Edde-Jbeil and I'm subscribed to the 2 MB plan from Ogero. For the past 5 months i've been getting on speedtest between 1.7 & 1.8 Mbits download (210-220 mbps). Strangely these 2 days I started getting 1.4 Mbits (160-170 kbps) but my upload speed which is 0.42 MB is still the same, the ping is still stable and my router is connected from the cable coming directly to my house so I always have a 'clean' connection. I restarted the router but there's no difference. Any 2 MB subscribers facing this issue? and can someone tell me what might be the cause of this problem from ogero?

Check for any background downloads. (Windows 10 maybe?)

No backround downloads, I even disconnected every device from the internet and tried testing on my phone and got same results

Go to your router gateway and check your line stats.

I don't have access to enter the configuration page of my router, whenever i type the default gateway on my browser (192.168.1.254) nothing happens. Ogero gave me a Zhone 6519-W1 ..

Anyone else noticed that we are getting more and more private networking IPs assigned to us (presumably NAT configuration).
I recently (last few weeks) noticed that I get an IP within the 172.16.0.0 - 172.31.255.255 range. Of course, if I use "whatismyip.com" it translates to a 178.135.x.x real IP.
The rest of the time, when I don't get a 172. IP ... I get a 178.135.x.x one.
Gone are the days when I used to get 94.187.x.x or 77.42.x.x or 89.17.x.x
Is Ogero running out of real IPs as they get more and more customers ?
Hey guys do u think that i can turn interleaving off?

Look at that loss of framing. Occasionally,my internet comes and go for 20 mins or more and I get such loss of framing,Ogero sent a guy to my house and told me that your line is super clean and "smallah sari3".He told me that it could be the router and that if it persists call Ogero so they can send a test router. But I CBB to call them, should I just get a new router?I got PPPoE user and pass.BTW I got a very old tg585 v7 updated to latest version I think.

Your SNr is unusually low for an attentuation of 32 db.
Doom did it happen before or after the disabling of interleaving?
