Anyone with Ogero still losing connectivity this morning. It's only the last led on my modem that goes off and the modem logs say "PPP Link down".
This started yesterday night and I called "1515" to get an answering machine message stating there are maintenance works in progress.

Yesterday at around 6PM, DSL internet service was down for like an hour in the Chiyah area (I don't know the radius of the downage, but friends quiet away from me lost internet too)

However, since then I didn't notice any new connectivity problems...

Lost internet too yesterday, live in Baabda, but it was restored, at 11 PM everything was normal i guess

Lost connection in ain alak as well (Bikfaya Central), went down from around 5ish to 7ish

Similar to ilia 93 i lost connection from 5:45 to 6:30 pm(aiisha bakkar,it's in ras beirut),and didn't have any connectivity issues then

And it's down again. This time the message on the answering machine for 1515 says it will take 3 hours. Seems there's some serious problem.

Internet back again after 30mins,I hope its related with VDSL upgrade.

same thing happened to me internet got of 4:25 then back at 4:45pm (20 minutes or so) we can't know if it's something related to vdsl they only said "maintenance" but hopefully.

Yeah, I'm experiencing the same connection problems that you are having during the same time period. I hope it's related to improving the network, and not just some regular maintenance.

How can burning waste affect phone lines that are supposed to be underground.
Anyway I don't think it's related to any upgrades (although I wish it were).
Someone who works at ogero told me it's a problem on a national scale.

In the past 3 days I've been losing connectivity everyday for about 3 hours each downtime and it's happening for the entire region not just me. I live in Bekaa and we neither have Sukleen or any waste problems here so what does burning garbage has to do ?

i am subscribed to a broadband provider, not Ogero DSL, and i had similar problems in the past few days, and today also

Sounds like the it director have a lot to do,that's why it's taking so much time(it director does the line testing I guess).

I have been using Ogero DSL services for 1 year -  Plan: 6 to 8 Mbps Download 2 Mbps Upload / 60 GB Capacity Cap.  On Peak Times my Ping is 32ms , Download 2.13 Mbps and Upload 0.37 Mbps which I consider it is still good relative to our  average network infrastructure in Lebanon.

you're paying for 6 to 8mb and you're getting 2mb down and 0.37mb.... not good why not go for 2mb unlimited?

Nope not at all(i am using 2mb unlimited plan and use it heavily to download (like 200gb a month sometimes 350gb a month!))

That's great . I think it's they're the only isp not using FUP which gives them an advantage.
But still their plans aren't really flexible.
