what?! do we even have ADSL2+ in Lebanon?
most if not all DSLAMS are ADSL2+ capable, the bad news is that most if not all backbones are not capable of handling anything near that lmao
Been having a high ping and many "request timed out" since yesterday evening. Can anyone confirm ?
It started yesterday at night. Then it was fine during the day. Now it's back to being bad.
I am facing high pings but not all day, it only happens between 8pm until 11pm, probably they are having some problems.
I am having some issues with my adsl connection, which is while browsing on my laptop, i loose internet connection and get the yellow sign in the wireless signal strenght icon, but my adsl modem lights are all normal and have normal browsing on my iphone connected to the same router. Is it a problem with my modem or my laptop? Please need your help guys.
Anyone knows what is the state of the Jdeide centrale ? Anyone has an 8mb connection living there?
Any concrete news about FTTX?

These are the only related Tweets I could find about FTTX by the minister

When do you think we will get FTTP?(considering Lebanon is small it shouldn't take long right?)
let me give you a mathematical estimate, the day you here its coming out this year, add 10 years to the equation and viola you get an almost exact release date
Question to the "unlimited ogero subscribers":
How are the pings? Is it any different than the not unlimited subscribers.
My pings are 30ms-100ms
it is always 44-49 ms mostly 44ms all the time to beirut server http://www.speedtest.net/result/4218773819.png
in game i get a stable 100
That would be my dream (as a sodetel subscriber)
This annoying "request timed out" issue is still ongoing.
Just a while ago I was playing WoW and everything in the game froze.I pinged "8.8.8.8." and there many ping timed out replies.
Needless to say I was raiding and I died and caused a wipe as I was healing as well. This is starting to get really annoying.
One minute later ping was back to normal. But I still get high pings at night just as Makhoder described it. All of this started about a week ago.
Currently i have no internet from ofero.using my phone's 3g. Anyone else having problems?
I usually get 100-120ms on European servers super stable all day and night (2mbit/s unlimited), haven't had a problem with my connection in ages.
raficoo what is your ping to paris orange server and beirut server? here is my orange server test results: http://www.speedtest.net/result/4221480469.png
Speedtest orange: Ping 88 ms, Download 1.77 Mbps, Upload: 0.41 Mbps.
Speedtest beirut: Ping 52 ms, Download 1.72 Mbps, Upload 0.41 Mbps.
I tried uploading a link to my test results images, but it wasn't letting me doing it.

Was a sodetel subscriber for 3 years but got sick of them, so changed to ogero and the only regret i have is not changing ages ago.
Stop wasting time with sodetel, save ur energy and get ogero :)
im getting fed up with paying an extra 100,000LBP+ each month. currently on 6-8mbps, 60GB plan. I'm seriously considering switching to the slower 2mbps unlimited plan. do you guys recommend? gaming is a priority, i can handle slower loading youtube vids unless anyone with the unlimited plan think its way too slow for youtube?
2mbps is top notch and recommended by me to everyone.
If you are currently paying 100K+ every month, your mind will come at ease when you get the 2mbps unlimited for 50$.
Speed is stable at 230-240kbps 24/7.
Torrents also, from 200-210kbps.
24/7 STABLE ping.
No FUP what so ever on the speed, no matter if you download the entire internet on your PC.
YouTube watching is perfect on 480p, loads with ease.
You can watch 720p also, but it will buffer every 5-10 seconds or so.
Recommended?
Damn right it is.

@bahaa.k
i am afraid of this period without an internet connection + afraid that after the switch i won't have a stable ping,
a friend of mine lives in Jbeil, he is an ogero subscriber and he has a stable ping of 600, it's probably not related to ogero since all of you have a decent ping.
