Re: Feedback for Ogero

How are you guys handling your download (torrent namely) needs with OGERO's limited plans? I mean after canceling the free night traffic.

Re: Feedback for Ogero

Hey guys. Just wanted to ask you if there's an FUP for the 2 mpbs unlimited plan. Is it really unlimited, i.e can i be downloading every second of every day?

Re: Feedback for Ogero

There does not seem to be an FUP as far as I know. We have 2 mbps unlimited ogero at work, we use it heavily during the day, and I schedule downloads on it all throughout the non working hours, still runs great. Well, not great when 10 computers are using it but you know what I mean, no FUP as far as I see.

Re: Feedback for Ogero

My speed has been reduced to 1mbps in these last two days!   I just noticed it now within the router.
I have been wondering why YouTube started to buffer on me these two days.
I am on the unlimited plan.
I will give them a call tomorrow.

Re: Feedback for Ogero

Same, I noticed today as well. I guess that's a no for the night downloads, that used to be with the REGULAR PACKAGES.

We've been duped so badly by this minister.

To be fair I checked the speed, not the router itself, I don't have access to it, it could be someone else was downloading too

Re: Feedback for Ogero

I don't think downloads is the reason for this,
I think the reason might be a mistake from their part.
I am receiving a speed of 253/1021 instead of 512/2Mbps.

Anyway I called them earlier, he said I fixed it, try it after half an hour.
I will see.

Hello guys,
This is my first post here.
I live in talet el khayat, i have sodetel FAKE unlimited plan that comes with a disgusting FUP.
Am planning to switch to Ogero Unlimited.
Anyone knows if they apply a FUP, was reading this thread and as i can see no one suffered till now.
But it dose not harm to get a confirmation from my fellow geeks

Re: Feedback for Ogero

No fup what so ever.
24/7 stable speed at 220/240kbps.
24/7 stable ping at 80-100ms ping (depends on the server)

As an Ogero 2mbit/s unlimited user as well I can also tell you there is absolutely no FUP on the unlimited package, the speeds are always stable and so is the ping at all times of day.

dat result... I jelly

My guess would be that he's subscribed to the "6 to 8 Mbps" option, which seems nice and not pricy, but you'll able to dry out your 60GB limit in a short amount of time

and also to able to get that speed he'd have to be living pretty close to the CO.

Ogero 6-8Mbps 60GB, around 1KM from the CO (Tripoli Al Tal)

Re: Feedback for Ogero

i applied for 8mbps and 100gb quota since ive been exceeding my 4mbps 50 gb plan and paying over 100,000L.L extra consumption. They gave me the 6-8mbps 60gb plan. i called them to ask why and they said that my line does not support more than that. anyone in achrafieh able to get above 8mbps plan or is it just that my line does not support it?

Re: Feedback for Ogero

I have a question regarding ogeor do they give you your username and password for your modem homepage ?
I had a similar problem with terra and the last time I checked ogero does not give you the information
it is essential to have the configuration info and modem access to unlock blocked ports
