The link you shared didn't reach more than 16mbps.

Do you think the CRC errors are high? On ADSL they were less than 100 and now  are reaching 1800 in one hour.

For the CRC errors, you will get more on VDSL2, that's normal
I was getting around 2000 to 3000 during 1 day.
However, since the lock-down i am getting around 5000 per hour sometimes especially from noon till 7pm and then not more than 20 per hour max. (SNR is stable and above 8, i even tried to sync at lower speed and increase the SNR but the CRS errors weren't affected at all). I think it is a problem at the centrals (Mazraa Co) because there are too many people using the internet and talking and cross-talk are affecting the errors.(the connection is till stable and downloads speed aren't affected).
To put things into perspective, during new year eve, i got around 14000 CRCs per hour. Then on the first day of 2020, things were normal again.

Hello all, so Ogero gave me the VDSL in Dohat Aramoun. There's a guy who came and tested my phone line quality inside the electricity room. He told me who told you that you can have vdsl?  i told him Ogero. He was like you cant have vdsl you're so far from the central and you dont have an active cabinet in your region. Anyway im on vdsl now syncing same speed i used to get on adsl. Maximum 13 Mbit download 1 Mbit upload. Even though when i put my number in ogero's website. It gives me that my phone line can handle 19 mbit. And since year and a half i changed the phone line from my house to the box inside the electricity room. The guy installed me a cat5e line. So i dont know what's the problem with them. Finally i got my VDSL but not the way i wanted it.

Re: Feedback for Ogero

I noticed that Ogero is throttling torrent from a week.

I can't download my files with more than 1MBps, and I am getting full speed on my seedbox with the same files.

2020-04-06-03-59-25.png 2020-04-06-05-02-40.png

Update:

The problem was because I set the limit of the upload speed to 1KB/s. The max download speed didn't exceed 1MB/s and when I was on ADSL I didn't think there is a problem. Once I removed the limit it jumped to the full speed.

Am the same---I think my activity last month was close to 500 gigs of downloading/uploading and my torrents are downloading near the peak speed of 400 kB/s.  Sometime I run into slow torrenting speeds, so I just restart utorrent and it goes back to normal.  Apparently, some ports are better than others.

They are doing it on Mazraa CO it seems. I am with IDM (Mazraa) and the same is happening to me. Sometimes, the speed is a few KB/s max at night (for a torrent that was over 2 MB/s a few minutes ago for example e.g. Max speed at 8:59 PM, few kb/s at 9:01 PM)

Edit: BTW which seedbox provider you use?

So maybe from the CO as wollyka said. The speed, in general, was better in the last two weeks.

I am using one from https://pulsedmedia.com/seedbox-auctions.php

There is an offer now because of the Coronavirus which is very cheap.

Thx, I may signup for a seedbox in case the torrents are still being throttled.

I don't think Ogero is throttling the torrent downloads. In fact I'm almost sure that they aren't.

Traffic shaping is very difficult to implement when it comes to torrents as far as I know. You either throttle the whole internet connection or block everything except few ports.

Your uploaded pics raise a lot of questions. You are downloading at 40MB/sec on a gigabit internet connection which probably means the seeders are local on your seedbox network.

I've made few tests last month as I noticed that my torrents are downloading slower than my VPS which is on a gigabit internet connection as well; here's what I noticed:

- Double NAT does play a role when it comes to connecting to peers
- Limiting your upload speed will lower your download speed in most cases; I try to keep the global and torrent upload at least 5KB/sec
- VPS or dedicated seedbox have much higher upload speed and lower latency which will affect the download speed drastically
- When my download is slow ~ 1-2 Mbps, I push my VPS to download the file and seed it. My download speed jumps immediately to full download speed
- uTorrent lately is using more upload than allowed, make sure UTP rate limit is enabled in the settings.
- On ADSL, downloading and uploading at the same time, which is what the torrent download is doing will result in timeouts instead of high ping. That is affecting download speeds.
- Enable IPV6 on your modem, that makes a lot of difference when it comes to torrents.

I assume that you're on VDSL, try to download a popular torrent file with lots of seeders and see if that makes a difference. Don't limit your upload speeds too much. I can see that you're connected to more than 32 client yet uploading 0.7 kB/sec. That doesn't make any sense at all and some seeders will automatically block you.

You can fix that if you u can force a downstream SNR margin of 10dB instead of 18.

All depends on your modem type.

Hey @Kareem, thanks for the tip. I tried to check out the Lebgeeks thread on this but could not get to a result. I have a Prolink H5004NK which I cannot seem to find any documentation on to check if this works.

Any tips?

Hey guys, quick update:
In an attempt to gain more priviledges on my router, I reset it and the default credentials of "admin" "password" dont seem to be working and I now have no DSL .

Any help is appreciated.

Update:
The router is from Wise. For some reason, it resets to the default wise user/pass combination. My ass is saved.
Could still use some router specific tips for SNR Margin tweaking though.

It has nothing to do with SNR your ISP clearly capped your speed at 6144Mbps you need to talk to them.

Why is this even in Ogero thread? I thought you had an Ogero ADSL modem.

Re: Feedback for Ogero

They are deploying VDSL2.

I got some info from an Ogero engineer the other day on twitter:
They are using G.993.2 (VDSL2).
G.INP(G.998.4) and G.vector(G.993.5) are supported in very special cases where the modem is less than 100m from the cabinet

You could ask them on twitter about G.fast. But i think it is supported for short distances too

Re: Feedback for Ogero

Anyone noticed an issue with Ogero billing system? I paid my bill Tuesday the 14th and we are at the 16th now (2 AM by the time I'm writing this) and still the panel shows that I have a bill pending to be paid. It usually updates to 0 LBP (no outstanding bills remaining) at the 15th by 12:00AM midnight or early morning. Tho the monthly quota usage is still updating as usual. Anyone else facing this ?
