I thought Id update you guys.
I went downstairs last night after stief96's suggestion, I noticed an LED lightbulb like 1 foot away from the phone box...I asked the landlord to remove it. That very same night, i got disconnected like 5 times with a bunch of CRC errors.
So for me, it wasnt the lightbulb.

At the first sight, I didn't believe it was the light. But when I turned it on the max rate would drop. As a result I broke the light and threw it in the garbage can ;)
Hi, i didn't understand, where is the led light, you mean in the same room where the router is ? or in the same room where the phone box is ????
The lamp was in the other room but the 12v cables are wired beside the telephone ones thats why noise got induced in the telephone line and caused reduced SNR
Cheapo CFL and LED lamps known to cause huge interference not only for DSL,but even for wifi. And this might be lamp even at neighbours apartment.
anyone experiencing slow speeds? on open speed.
Im on vdsl.
Used to get 28-29mbps now barely reaching 7-8
Is Ogero Down for anyone?
It's been down for a few hours now.
Well at my office we have Ogero Fiber, so not sure. It's working fine but that might be because we're on a different infrastructure.

Not down for me--maybe just an outage in your area for [hopefully] some upgrades.
can anyone confirm if there is something wrong with there ogero DSL connection?
for the past week my router keeps restarting and i am having slow speeds, that are only fixed with a restart of the router
do you think its the router or is it something to do with ogero ?
any assistance is apreciated

I have ogero DSL and no issues whatsoever, btw router restarting is a local problem from your side, probably a diying power adapter or the router itself.

Sooooo...anyone have any updates on the Fiber installation in the rest of Hamra? Besides those 2 tiny spots they have which allows them to say "we have fiber in Hamra", while technically true...I filled out the application 8 months ago lmao.
I finally have fiber active from Ogero in Ashrafieh

Awesome. What speeds are you getting?

Did you apply for it? Did you pay anything?

A speedtest to a local server and another test to Europe would be nice as well.

Just went to Ashrafieh CO and applied for it paid $200 for the fiber modem
speedtest: http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/a/3974581837

Why did you expect more? 50Mbps is the advertised speed.

Did he mention when they are expanding in the Hamra area?
Some posts were removed. Let's keep it civil and on topic please!

Yup since day 1; I applied last July
BTW what I did to speed it up was getting most of my neighbors to sign an application
You can try that if your building is in the deployment area
DjSam quick question, seeing as the information ogero call centers are giving out is iffy at best, would you mind sharing the entire procedure?
From what you submitted to what ogero changed and what did you have to change in the house wiring etc along with the associated costs.
Thank you in advance
