@Dio, I don't know what the tech guy telling you that "things were back to normal" based his words on but I can assure you he is wrong.
My download speed is still 25% of what it used to be and my latency is higher than normal. Besides, submarine cable cuts require much more than 2 days (excluding sunday, today) to be repaired.

I know. The pattern for me is morning is 65ms, around 4 pm it hits 110.

I'm gonna reply to them and let them know.

@Ahmad, I am assuming (I could be wrong) that this is due to high packet collision (being on a temporary backup link) on their end rather than noise on the DSL line.

Two days ago my ping was fine at night. Yesterday, it wasn't.

Yeah well, at least it's still working I guess, iraq takes internet supply from 2 cables and both of them got cut lol

Been there done that. Remember that whole mess we had like 5 years ago?

This has been happening since the 20th of Jan, the line was cut on the 23rd. I don't know if these are related.

Anyone with Ogero DSL noticing slow internet and higher pings tonight Monday as of 9 PM? I'm having to reboot the router every 30 mins or so after which the speed is perfect (14Mbps) but soon enough tracerts will start taking too long and another restart is needed.

Yea it's very crap today. Even some other days before. Ping ingame won't go below 130ms (used to be in the 80s range) and that random crc and line drop seems to come back every several days.

Thank you for chiming in. I guess it's going to remain like this until the underwater cable is repaired. A friend of mine who works in the telecom industry told me it might take up to 3 weeks.

I noticed a pattern, for me, it's bad from 6:00 pm till around 11:00 pm, then it drops back to ~60ms. It's just congestion on that 1 cable. And it's not too bad overall. They'll fix it soon.

Yes sometimes it increases by 2mbps but what's the point the lines are completely unstable and it's making it worse.
