Hey guys finally the pc is done. I will be ocing this beast in the weekends so hoping to finish it by monday.

Anyway a few nitpicks, i am a guy that loves to stack the hardware boxes i bought on a shelf but hey thats just me. What i love to see is the intel board box as it has this cool looking sceleton on it, sadly when the motherboard arrived it was not in its box. I think pc&parts gave me a tray motherboard, as the rest of the stuff (sata io shield...etc) where all wrapped in a rubber >.>. I just DONT like that...

Anyway System: core i5 2500K
Intel DP67BG
4g 1333mhz ram
1 TB hDD
Asus Gtx 570 DCuII

Please refere to this thread to view the same benchmarks on a dual core system: http://www.lebgeeks.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=9667

Stock clocked gtx 570, also the cpu is ideling in the pictures, its 3.4ghz at load (turbo boost disabled).

Also a side note, going from the msi g31 board, accompanied by its old pci-e, yielded in a max oc of 900mhz on the core, while the p67 with its 2nd generation of pci-e (although performance wise it is the same +- 1-3%) yielded in a max oc of 930mhz due to higher power delivery ;).

Almost forgot...The money shots ;):

Looks great, nicely done.

I've yet to mess with mine :(
what are your system specs?
Congrats on the new build, I like how the skull lights up on the board

From where did you get that i5 2500k ?
Thanks Flakk.
You can get it from Republic of Gamers store.

AMAZING PC dude
but the graphics sucks :p
GPU sucks????
If you mean the gt430 ur right, but if your talkinf about the 6970...boy your way wrong....

xterm listen to me and listen good, i dont know if you already know this or done this already, but...
This set of rams is designed for x58 boards, and if noone believes me any ram manufacturer will not sell ODD number of ram to a chipset that sports dual channel. This is why its 12g so its 3x4g of sticks...

Anyway my main point is this, these ram run at 1.65v (dram voltage). Sandybridge CANNOT tolerate these volts, tolerate =/= handle oh it can handle them quit well. But you should drop the volts to 1.6 to 1.5v even.
You will loose speed or latency, but you will not damage/degrade your IMC (integrated memory controler) in your cpu.
AvoK95 wrotebut the graphics sucks :p
The graphics card you see was temporary until the GTX580 arrives, which eventually it did not so I'm now using a Sapphire Radeon 6970 HD.
great system, but why the hell do you want to oc it?
i ment the 430.
but on the otherhand...im not that big of a fan of ATI either :P
AKH dude you're making me jealous...32FPS AVG. on Crysis 1 with 8x AA on Very High? Using a GTX 260 I get:

Same resolution, DX10, GTX260 @ 729/1458/999:

40.8 FPS High 0xAA
35.3 FPS Pseudo Very High 0xAA
22.5 FPS Very High 0xAA
17.5 FPS Very High 8xAA

And you're not even OC yet.

So I guess my GTX260 overclocked to GTX280/285 CANNOT run all games with MAX graphics quality.
Nemesis-301 wrotegreat system, but why the hell do you want to oc it?
Becasue i am XTREME...

J/ks aside, just for the fun of it, and trust me once you oc you will be addicted. There will always be a question inyour mind, can it go faster? can it be pushed more? what if i had better cooling can i push more? If i mod this part, can i get more?
You should peek into my head :P...

Buti though gpus can live up to 10 years while playing everything on MAX :P...;)

@xterm : I am 1billion% sure you can get a gtx 580 dcu or even matrix from ROG store...
hey Beej i just wanted to ask how much did the 2500k CPU cost ?
I got it for 316$s. But thats only because i ordered 1 alittle too early , i was in a hurry. So i am sure the prices will be lower once he get another batch of these bad boys. Probably 300$ +-.
GTX580 Matrix is a wet dream folks...crazy card...crazy.
I CANNOT STAND being at stock and watch my pfft low temps without OCing...once you know you got a good 20-30% OC ahead of you, and guaranteed stability 24/7, you can't BUT OC...another good point about OCing is taht rendering becomes faster...video transcoding becomes faster...folding@home clients (both SMP and GPU become faster)...games get a solid NOTICEABLE FPS boost...what more could you ask for?

And think about it this way...are you gonna be stuck with the crappy stock cooling? If not, then you're going with aftermarket cooling... if so, then you would want to OC. With aftermarket cooling, where temperatures @OC are cooler than temperatures @stock @stock cooling, you know what you want. This is especially what non-reference cards such as the Asus DirectCUII are made for. Custom cooling the way you want it. Grab a Thermaltake Frio (also available at Republic of Gamers - I love that place) and you're good to go.
whats the case ?
is it a V3??
Yes AvoK its V3 and to tell you the truth, i HATE it. I bought it because its cheap. I gambled with it as i wasnt sure it would fit the card. Also i have big hands and i couldnt connect anything so i had to remove the board and connect everything and put it back. Also this case has ZERO cable managment, i cant hide the cables anywhere, and the psu is not modular to help... Took me 3 days to get it done >.> (i finish work @ 10pm).
Hey Beej mabroook i have the same card. listen can you tell me whats your minimum voltage on your card you can find out from GPU Z. I got the same care but it says the minim voltage is 0.9120 which is pretty weird. thanks man
