Okay guys so I basically don't have dsl and my internet is from the cable guy.
Whenever I ping onto 8.8.8.8, bbc.co.uk, google.com... I get something around 70-90ms which is nice, but when it comes to online gaming, like on EUW servers, I get 300-400, please note that the game (league of legends) isn't so overloading on bandwidth, I once tried it over 3G and it spends 20MB over 30 minutes, let's say it needs 20KBps at least. Well even in the time the download speed goes 500KBps the ping gets worse.
Oh and did I mention that if I open youtube for example (if it opened on this super mega fast internet ..) the ping results stay the same 70-90(on cmd not in the game) ? I know in normal cases it has to rise...
Ty guys I'm just looking for an explanation for this thing, of course I'm not going to talk with my isp directly cause "El problem men el sherke" "Metel ma byeftah 3and ogero byeftah 3enna" "Yalla halla2 bsheflak yeha" "Dawwe w taffe el router".
On a side question: would you recommend any isp with a good service that doesn't require a landline phone?
rolf
ISPs can filter packets. Ping packets (ICMP) are very small too.
What you call "ping" in the game is not necessarily ICMP ping so maybe not the same thing, and as I said maybe ISP is slowing down connections to gaming servers.
Bottom line is your connection is slow. For gaming, get a better one.
Not sure you can find one if you can't have DSL. Maybe Wise? (if they still exist)

I played league of legends on ogero dsl and it made me so mad I almost got a heart attack(lags, disconnects etc...) I deleted the game to keep my sanity.
League of legends has some issues of their own, have you confirmed the problems on other games too?
MrClass
Can you try to use VPN and connect to UK? I remember I used to do this when I was in Lebanon and pings got improved. ISPs are fucken assholes, they will filter and throttle traffic; using VPN fucks them back as most traffic is encrypted.

I am a WISE subscriber and I have a very stable 2mbit (1.73 actually) with no throttling (maybe torrents during the day) so I am very satisfied and my line stats are good:
Downstream Upstream
SNR Margin: 24.2 28.2 db
Line Attenuation: 24.3 13.5 db
Data Rate: 2048 509 kbps
Max Rate: 16112 1205 kbps
CRC: 0 0
So the question: I wanna switch from WISE to terranet (2M70) or IDM (2M45) plans (around 25$) mainly because they both have night traffic. So should I consider one and not another or are they the same? (like for fup) And if I m really good with wise is it a good sign that my central (central Araya) is better than other centrals meaning I shouldn't really worry switching?

And still we didn't get upgraded from 1 to 2 mbits yet :)

Hey guys,
I noticed that my Internet speed went down this month. I tried to check on the ADSL router if there is something wrong going on. Noticed this:
Downstream Upstream
SNR Margin: 6.0 22.5 db
Line Attenuation: 46.0 22.0 db
Data Rate: 7368 1023 kbps
Max Rate: 7816 1056 kbps
CRC: 13635 1
Does it mean I have phone line issues?
I used to have a max rate of 11000-12000
The CRC value keeps going up as well.

Tried disconnecting every other device from the lhone line and leaving only your modem ? Do that and check again.

Yeh I did that. Same shit. I'll try changing the cable between the wall plug and the router and see if that makes a difference. Though the SNR value is shit right? CRC is now 25000

It's way too shit, with 6db I wonder how your internet still working. If plugging directly doesn't work out try using someone else's modem and see their stats. Or use yours at someone else house.
MrClass
Is there a chance it might be the router? I don't care about it I'll just get another. If it is a phone line issue, then I'm screwed. I'm going to call Terranet tomorrow. They'll confirm from their side the line status.

Check out my story in ogero thread,my snr used to be like yours but fixed after I changed a bad lamp.So check if you got a bad electrical appliancetl.try "tikka lal kaherba"and check if the snr goes up.

Is there a way to reduce Lag and play battlefield properly, I'm on sodetel and tried to improve through portforwarding from EA website but failed to do so. Any advice?

Sodetel? no hope for you, first step, change to ogero. go. stop giving Sodetel your money now. i hope they get bankrupt.
ironman
@boogdan22 as Anthony said, with Sodetel no hope (former Sodetel customer...)
Aly
Former sodetel user as well, no hope at all from this company, I only got headaches.
Switched to Wise long time ago, I play battlefield 3 with my brother everyday online (for hours sometimes) and not a single lag.
Ogero blink is also great for online gaming. (Better than Wise overall).
