Well The distance from Mazraa CO to Talet el khayat is less than the distance from the same CO and Barbor, and the I don't know the exact route of the cable, My Friend is in Afif Al Tibe, he is with Sodetel and the speed is now 1Mbps, also in Marelias a relative of mine is with Ogero ISP and it is 1Mbps, wait till the end of the month, and u will feel the difference. The migration takes some time and I just wonder what was that, the thing done by Shanawi, as if he ruled the world, and he don't know anything about the technology and its problems. This is a Major Political reason.

A Friend of mine lives in Tallit al khayat and the CO is Ras Beirut not Mazraa.

Internet speed today is bad. Made speedtest and guess what? My upload speed is 0.5Mbps and download speed 0.17Mbps. Terra has 9 days to fix it, otherwise I will change ISPs. I am thinking Sodetel. Any terranet users having problems with their downloads nowadays?

last week i was told that 5 centrals upgraded, they are all in beirut, thats why internet in beirut is better than other places

No issues here. Things have been pretty smooth after the October updates. Sometimes after 11 PM things get really slow, but that's nothing new.

yes, it's getting better, hope it stays like this, crossing fingers. My upload increased by a tenth only not as high as yours.

Does anyone have an answer to why exactly terranet's ping is so good? I have the sodetel static IP package and my ping is terrible; and even though people have had around 80ms pings on a sodetel connection, they have no idea what i'm talking about when I sent them the tracert and manual ping proofs in an email, stating that my ping is as good as it gets (180ms). How can they be routing people through a much faster route without knowing what they're doing? It doesn't make any sense.

Maybe because the company is inside beirut thats why its better latency

From the ping you can see it's very good, they will soon open up the connection to 4mbps i guess.

My friend with Terra getting 1 Mb (was 256 kb) , download is 115 / 117 kbps sharp , and very low ping !
My download with IDM between 94 to 99 kbps ! and average bad ping !!

I am really very angry @ IDM !!
