Hey, doctors, dentists, and engineers are known in the business world as being idiots. Just because they may be brain surgeons or rocket scientists doesn't necessarily mean they know how to run a business. It is just how their brains are trained. They know their craft really well, but running a business is a completely different animal. One of my old clients had 3 masters degrees, started a business and it took off, and he ran out of money 2 years later. It happens more often than you think.

it depends on what you means:
a) Running business on international standards: i think that doctors(engineers, etcera) are more than capable of pulling it off because they have a high ability to analyse, improvise and make decisions
b) Running a business lebanese way: y3ni kezeb w nafe2 w ghesh(cheating n stealing), yes it takes a different beast to pull it off
c) be lebnen el 7mar sar yekhod mhandess(education system is shitty nowadays in lebanon)
thus you can't generalize
