  • thoughts on Duke Nukem Forever

June 10 2011 marked the release date of a sequal to the legendary title Duke Nukem , u know shooting pigs with some cheesy talks can never be boring :P

and well since bekaa is an area isolated from technology :P the game is not anywhere to be found here , so if any of you already played it , what are your thoughts on it ? and is it worth the 14 years of wait ?
I was going to buy it @ nino but after viewing the cover i said no thx (it has many nude scenes if not nude ~nude) this game is bs sorry but no hardcore gamer will buy this shit.
Duke Nukem without "nudity" is like James Bond without cheesy comments. That's what makes Duke Nukem, Duke Nukem, he's supposed to be that macho sexually irresistible vulgar dude with an ego so big that it would make Jupiter jealous, otherwise that wouldn't be him.

Duke Nukem has been here way before you maybe even started playing. Duke is like Chuck, you don't buy the game, it buys you ;)
Just finished downloading the game. I'll test the game today and let u know.

I'm not a Duke Nukem fan, I don't even know/remember what's all the fuss about Duke Nukem 3D, but probably critics are taking the game way too seriously? Or probably it's just way too outdated for today's standards? Hmm.. maybe the game just plain suck. Oh well, I won't bother with it though because I don't really care about blasting aliens and saving some virtual babes.

What is that? Do you mean reviews? Because I rarely trust critic's ratings anymore, especially from mainstream gaming sites. When you see an FPS fan reviewing an RPG and giving it a bad score just because it doesn't have perks or killstreaks, it just makes sense to skip through their opinions.
I'll pass on this game, i consider it to be a cheap shooter.
i played it for 30 mins .... and i was glad i bought for 5,000 LL (just saying)
darn, I thought it was going to be a killer game. unexpected outcome for me.
I still remember Duke Nukem 3D most famous quotes:

"Shake it baby" as he throws money for the strippers.

"What are you waiting for? Christmas?" when you stand idle for too long.

Didnt try the new one they released, but from the reviews, it looks like it sucks. o_O
reviews only see the shiny graphics , shiny enough you pass , otherwise you fail ! that's why i came here to see what people who actually played the game think !

I have played the game on X360 for about 40 minutes.
I dont care about gfx so i wont make a judgement.

From the moment i started playing the idea of babes, bit**es and wh**es started hammering my brain due to the excessive usage of such themes. Which usually lead to identifying games not as an art but as a sexual appeal tool targeted toward any man. Games still need a long way to be an art but at least they should respect sex in way that Bioware did in its games, not to use such themes excessively.

i agree that Duke Nukem was always like this.... but the game is meant to be like this !! without those dirty talks and dirty women , it won't be Duke Nukem simple as that .. in fact you made me look forward more to play the game :P
