After some complaining, they finally fixed their system to allow foreign cards to make transactions. At last!

- So here I am trying to pay my parent's phone bill online, using the recently introduced credit card payment... but to no avail.
The steps are easy to follow but the payment doesn't go through in the end.
1. Log into the account on ogero.gov.lb
2. Click on View bill details and/or Pay the bill for number <xx-xxxxxx>
3. Click on PAY your bill as per the below screenshot.
4. You get transferred to Banque AUDI's page where the card details have to be input.
5. After clicking submit, I am constantly faced with the weird 'Invalid Transaction, Undetermined' error.
Couple questions:
1. Has anybody tried to successfully use the service? Is it supposedly working?
2. If so, is it strictly available to Lebanese-issued cards only?
Let's hope they can sort it out soon. It is already a step in the right direction, but if it doesn't work for foreigners to pay bills for their local family, I don't see the huge point of it... - Great! It should be an easy job, all the parts are there, only the screws are missing.
I'll let you know when I go down to Leb in case I can't get it fixed easily :)
Thanks! - Hello, can anybody recommend a good watch repair shop/center ?
I'm coming to Leb in the next few days and got my girlfriend's watch that needs repairing.
Would a normal 'se3atji' be able to do the job or shall i go to the big guys (i.e: atamian) ? - May I ask why are you seeking for her approval for a something you're gonna buy her?
Use your own judgement and buy whatever YOU feel is appropriate. Worst that will happen is she won't like it and return it unless she's too scared to hurt your feelings (and it appears you have that same fear)... and that's either a sign you're too new in the relationship - in that case a box of chocolate would be pretty much all you need to buy - or that you're overreacting a bit :)
Then again the only thing I can tell you is like rtp said, stay away from jewelry unless you are going serious.
To tell us about the other-worldly atmosphere of football games watched on TV especially with Arabic commentators, maybe?AvoK95 wroteThan what's the point of this topic ?
If I was you AVOlio, I should be concerned for wasting money on a 5.1 system (if it's really that awesome it should have cost you a fortune, right?) that is only acting as a stereo sound output...- At least AVOlio's porn folder is there for all to see :D
- Make sure you let it air out when you buy it, otherwise the smell might be intolerable for some during the first few days.
- I know this will not sound like something you want to hear but I'd suggest you prepare yourself to 'skip' this academic year and apply for the next one.
You will have the ability to prepare more for your exams as you won't be under such draining time constraints and then you will be able to send your applications to the universities you really want instead of just focusing on whoever accepts late exam results.
Take this year to apply for a temporary job to get some working experience.
Having to deal with so much worry is not a good thing, it will drain you mentally. - Are you planning to fill a balloon and lift yourself up into space ;) ?

I'm not saying a fresh grad will get a consultant job by getting all A's on his grades.MrClass wrote
Badieh is absolutely right. Well the duration of experience differs according to the type of work. Successful consultants have hands-on experience. They develop the sense of noticing and wondering during the time of actual work. Only then they can recommend others what works and what doesn't. A consultant can change the way how things flow in a business; meaning a not-so-experienced consultant can bring a company to its knees. It is a very fragile and risky business.WizaRd wrote
This statement is wrong in so many ways. Where did you get that from?Badieh wroteI think consultants should have at least 7 years of experience.
I'm not sure about the definition of consultant in Lebanon, but everywhere else it's probably the best position to have on your CV. Not too technical, not too business oriented, it's really the best of both worlds
Consultant needs to know the business needs and the technical perspective of things whatever the consultancy domain is. You can get that in 3, 4 or even 5 years is more than enough provided you have the adequate environment in your company to grow into that position.
No you do not need 7 years, but you can't get the job after a year's work either. - In Consultant

I'm not sure about the definition of consultant in Lebanon, but everywhere else it's probably the best position to have on your CV. Not too technical, not too business oriented, it's really the best of both worlds - Few interesting uses of such 'powerful' technique:
Example #1: How Al Qaeda hid secret documents in a porn video
Example #2: Spies hid secret messages on public websites

Off-topic: wow rahmu, you're really putting some time into your answers!
He can be doing the exact same thing for the rest of his life regardless which of these 2 paths he choose.Kassem wroteThere is no one better than the other. It all depends on what you want to be doing for the rest of your life.
I think the only time I had to do that was way back for my high school prom where we just wanted to look cool and have a white plate on the car we rented.Tarek wrotebecause of the basic lebanese mentality ( which i have ) , rent sux ..
Good luck finding what you are looking for, you probably will but in any case, why should you care what others have to say? You never know when shit happens and especially in Lebanon so why do you insist on taking the risk?- I miss the old design :(
- Welcome back ? :)
- As far as legal downloads I can't think of anything other than iTunes but the choice isn't that big and I'm not sure if they have animes there as well.
Usenet is a wiser choice if you insist on paying but a question mark over legality MIGHT arise but you'll be fine regardless.
