  • Playstation network maintenance error

I dont know if you guys noticed but the PSN is down for more then 2 days and till now Sony didnt say whats the problem, I read about 3 things in the internet:

1_ The playstation network is hacked by group of hackers
2_ It's due to a problem in japan( I think thats lame)
3_ The playstation network is undergoing maintenance ( I doubt it)

Does anyone here know the main problem I mean have you read anything about it? Because its really a bummer that we cant still play online for the 3rd day.
They are under DDoS, because they forced hacker to settle down in court.
It is just revenge and last resort action, since Sony acted hostile to hackers community and continue to be evil in DRM.
My hope it will be lesson for this evil company and for other companies who cut users freedom to do with hardware they own (OtherOS removal, suing geohot, etc).
@nuclearcat you have no clue my friend.
In a post entitled "For Once We Didn't Do It," hacker group Anonymous today denied involvement with the recent PlayStation Network outages.

"While it could be the case that other Anons have acted by themselves, AnonOps was not related to this incident and takes no responsibility for it," reads the statement. "A more likely explanation is that Sony is taking advantage of Anonymous' previous ill-will towards the company to distract users from the fact the outage is actually an internal problem with the company's servers."

The PlayStation Network began to experience technical issues in the U.S. on Wednesday night, and went down worldwide on Thursday. It currently remains inaccessible, greeting users who attempt to connect with the now-infamous '80710A06' error code.

For its part, Sony yesterday stated that it was investigating the issue, and it could be "a full day or two" before PlayStation Network functionality returned.

We'll continue to keep you updated on the situation as we hear more.

PlayStationEU PlayStation Blog EU
We're now going live with certain PSN services in the UK, Ireland and the Middle East.
This was posted 40 minutes ago by PlayStationEU on Twitter. So I guess tomorrow(maximum) we would have the PlayStation network running
I was just able to change my PSN password.. but I wasnt able to log online. It stated that the service is under maintenance . I checked online, some states in the USA are still not online.
Some said it depends on the PS3 region as well.
