not to blame, but it seems there is more money in 3G then DSL / seems you BB users promoted this
- the standard DSL is good enough for the facebook/msn population, which compromises most users in Lebanon
Nobody really cares about low latency and high bandwidth; except i suppose most of us here, if not all
although highly unrelated, i hope this small step helps initiated whatever is planned for DSL / i really stopped bothering with keeping up with the updates.
vegetaleb: hope they actually will keep GPRS and WAP but lower prices and make it avaiable for non contract users - you must consider that super speed doesn't concern eveyone, not to mention this 3G will definately cost quite a lot.
kareem_nasser wroteThis is complete sarcasm. If 3G is about 21Mbps while the max of the current DSL is 2 Mbps with a quota of 8 up and down. Lets say logically 3G should have quotas starting with 2GB and up, this is actually making fun of the user for using DSL and 3G.
Hope you got my point.
although the 21mb/s speed does sound farfetched, i think we should take it as a maximum / expect 3G connection speed to decrease in some areas, and yeah maybe we will see from 4-8 mb/s - still it will be to some extent faster than this "DSL" we have.
not to mention, and not sounding too ignorant, but of course the 3G network will be "cleaner" than what we have from these supposedly normal DSL networks .
I have my hopes up none the less.
