  • Which download manager/accelerator do you use ?

I've been using Flashget 1.96 for years. Thinking of changing it.

What are your recommendations ?
Internet Download Manager

Get a pirated cracked version..Its the best manager there is.
FDM. But I haven't really be using that, Firefox has resume and my connection is OK anyway. I would only use it for big downloads ala CD ISO image.
uTorrent. Thousands of Gigabytes were transferred using it.

DownThem'All extension in Firefox. [It's the BEST download manager] - for large downloads only.
Chrome's built-in download manager - for quick, small downloads...
Orbit Downloader - even has a grabbing tool for grabbing videos, flash objects, etc... from an open webpage with media running on it. Stable, extremely fast, scheduling, categorizing, anti-virus scan integration, can use P2P in addition to the normal download in case the server hosting the download is not fast enough, etc... you name it!
---()--()--- wroteI ended up using DAP + DownThemAll
IDM has download them all feature and flash get feature...good choice
But IDM is better.
wget ^^ I can queue downloads from a list, stop and resume them.
Cracked version of IDM ! Its awesome though it has some flaws. I'm seriously considering updating and buying it since the new version has much more additional features and browser integration ! If anyone has a cracked version of the newest IDM I would be more than thankful

I don't think you're allowed to publically ask for cracked software on the forums ;)
i used from maybe 2002? - 2008 Flashget

but since then im on jdownloader
DownloadThem All! crashes from time to time, it is resource heavy (it will make firefox hang for a few seconds if you start to download a 300MB+ file). It lacks options to change the URL dynamically.

JDownloader is good for rapidshare and other free file services, but it hogs bandwidth, as Lebanese internet is not very good when it comes to downloading 100MB+ files without resume support JDownloader keeps trying to redownload and redownload and use the little bandwidth we have :)

IDM works like a charm for what I need.
