DSLR camera in Lebanon

Hello everyone, I'm looking for a DSLR camera. Is there a shop in Lebanon specifically targets cameras? I was checking Khoury home's collection and the Cannon EOS 1000D costs 1,000$ which is outrageous, and I couldn't find any other models. I'm specifically looking for a Canon EOS 450D Digital Rebel XSi.

Check Photo Nubar in Hamra, they are the official dealers of Nikon in Lebanon.
Even if the prices are the same as in Virgin you can have a discount if you push a little, I had a very good one on the D90 2 years ago ;)
Believe me I tried both canon and nikon, nikon is far superior

It's a matter of preferences. Some pros use Canon. I'm sure it can pull off the job.
I do tend towards Nikon myself.

Thank you MrClass I just called and they don't have them. They said that they ordered the 550D but no idea about the time of availability and price.

my dad has one 350 D and it's very good although it may be a bit old

i have the 550D, bought it the day it was released in the duty free ( 1300 $ + kitlens )

J4D we decided to meet in order for me to have hands-on check. However I'm not sure when I will be able to meet him. I'm still "studying" all my other options before buying a used Canon D20.

Be aware of dust on the sensor, anti-dust system can only take out dry dust but not greasy ones, and yes it costs 50$ to clean the sensor by professionals (never do it yourself).
To test dust you have to take a photo of clear blue sky at F25 to F32,then see in the photo if any black spot appear ;)

Hey guys, do you happen to know any stores that actually sell lens, if they are used it is not a problem I am just an amateur looking for accessories, I have a 600d and 1000d, tried to exchange the bodies for a mid size professional one like the commercials but they are demanding too much, any advise is much appreciated

Unfortunately you will not find such shops in Lebanon,though if you travel to Paris or any big capital in the world they have pro-shops with used but under warranty stuff for DSLR,the biggest shops are Adorama and B&H in NYC.
In Lebanon you can try in Elmazad
