no no,i mean go to settings>>general>>network>>then make sure that cellular data is enabled, i am not talking about the apn.
I have iphone 3g, so when i go to network there is a section for the cellular data network and inside this section there are Cellular data, MMS, and Internet Tethering. The Cellular Data is where i put MTC as APN. There is nothing related to enabling cellular data.
Woke up, checked it again and now i'm getting the signal. But i have to say, it's kinda slow.

كثر ممن حاولوا أمس الاتصال بزوجاتهم، فاجأهم صوت ذكوري غريب يجيب عبر الهاتف. للوهلة الأولى ارتابوا، ثمّ ظنوا أنهم طلبوا الرقم الخطأ، نظروا سريعاً الى شاشاتهم ليجدوا أن الرقم المطلوب صحيح لكن المشكلة هي في تداخل الخطوط الهاتفيّة.
وفي حين لم يكن "قطوع" الـ3G أو خدمة الجيل الثالث (الانترنت السريع على الهاتف الخلوي) قد مرّ بعد، في ظل انقطاع الإرسال الذي يسببه أحياناً وغياب توفّر الخدمة أحياناً أخرى، برزت أمس مشكلة جديدة تمثّلت تداخل الخطوط، وسبقها صباحاً غياب الإرسال في بعض المناطق اللبنانية، ما دفع كثر الى طلب الرقم مرات عدّة وخسارة الدقائق قبل التمكن من إنجاز الاتصال.
منذ أيام قليلة، اعترف وزير الاتصالات نقولا صحناوي بأن خدمة الـ3G هي السبب الأساسي في انقطاع المخابرات الخلوية، متحدثاً عن خطة يعكف فريق عمله في الوزارة على انهائها لتُعلن خلال الأسبوعين المقبلين، إلا أن إعلان الخطة "المنتظرة" لا يعني حلّ مشكلة الاتصالات بشكل جذري إذ أن الوزير بنفسه أضاف بأن نتائج خطة المعالجة هذه لن تظهر قبل ستة أشهر، ما يعني أنه ليس أمام اللبنانيين إلا الانتظار والدفع مسبقاً لشركات الهاتف الخلوي.
وفي حين لا يجد خبراء الاتصالات تفسيراً للمشكلة الحاصلة لعدم فهم أسبابها الحقيقية، سارع الوزير صحناوي بالأمس الى عقد اجتماع طارئ مع الفريق التقني لكل من شركتي "ألفا" و"أم. تي. سي" للإطلاع على وضع الشبكتين ومعرفة الأسباب التي أدّت إلى هذه المشكلة المتواصلة منذ قرابة الأسبوع.
وفي حين لم يشأ وزير الاتصالات التصريح بعد الاجتماع ولم يصدر أي بيان توضيحي من وزارته لإطلاع الرأي العام اللبناني على أسباب المشكلة، لم يتردد وزير زميل لصحناوي في حكومة "كلنا للوطن" في التعليق منذ أيام على كثرة انقطاع الخط أثناء اجرائه مقابلة صحافية، قائلاً: "لترى البلد شو ماشي، شوف اتصالاته".

No it won't. Your internet access is linked to BIS (Blackberry INTERNET service). It will only work with a blackberry.

Yes it seems mtc has a problem. Whatsapp and viber were down yesterday for quite a while.
Any idea why my 3G is always connecting as Edge? My phone supports 3g, I saw it working with alpha testing 3g before, but now on mtc, it's always on edge... I live in ashrafieh, everyone has 3g .. and I'm on pre-paid.

Make sure your SIM is not an old one (Libancell). If it's new, seek support on 111.
What is your mobile device?
did you input mtc configuration?
did you subscribe to the desired service?
did you restart the phone after setup?
