I agree with thegodfatherdany, i waited for 2months before the desire hd arrived to lebanon, 4 or 5 month for it's price to go down, and ended up never getting it because the incredible S came out; but look at it now, it is still top of the line phone.
For the core 2 phones to come out and reach Lebanon at a reasonable price, at lot of things in technology are going to change; for example tablets need to get upgraded (since they have the higher privilege concerning processors), and for the tablets to get upgraded they're going to change the mini-laptops, so on and so forth following the chain..
Bottom line, the new technology would not be in our hands at an affordable price before 1.5 to 2 years.
Don't forget, the incredible S has just been released last month.

well i know that technology is a never ending chain and i understand your point of view , but we're talking here about a major boost from a one cored phone to dual core and i guess it worth to wait for ...
anyway i think the desire s and incredible s are just a slight update from the originals just that HTC get rid from the one core chips they have already in their stocks lol...
anyone agree with that ? :)

If you want to wait till October then the quad core Android phones will be already forecasted and you will then tell us to wait till summer 2012 ;)
You remember me of my neighboor in the 90s when CPUs constantly changed every 3 months,he waited a couple of months then waited again for better CPU then waited and waited and waited because everytime a new ''revolutionary'' CPU was coming out...he never changed his PC lol

-It looks like HTC is using a new security against custom kernels for Incredible S
-Optimus 2X has freezing problems
-SGS2 could be available in April or May or June...even Samsung don't know yet!!!

It's somehow at a high price of 680$
The good news is that SE decided to unlock the bootloaders of all the new phones including Arc :)

the dual core phones will stick for a while , a 2 to 3 years maybe , look how much the one core stayed on the market... so again wait to buy a dual core and if there's rumors about quad cores just go and buy the dual core then :)

i agree. I have the SGS and am waiting for the EVO 3D its 1.2 dual core and 2.3.3 Gingerbread; also the qHD 3D screen is very tempting!

Just called amhaz shops, they still havn't got the incredible s and don't know when will they..by the way, has any one noticed how bad of employees they are ? I mean they talked to you with such lazyness its so disgusting..

I'm looking forward to buying my first HTC phone(HTC Evo 3D) and was just wondering if HTC release a phone in the US in the summer, how long will it take to arrive in Lebanon?
I know that the one released in the US will not work here, but is it normal for HTC to release one that will be compatible in Lebanon?

no it will not work here in Lebanon (it's not a GSM phone)
but htc will soon announce new phones (it might be the GSM version of htc evo 3g)

I think they have it but they called it Incredible without S, the woman on the phone told me that twice, also I think Droid Incredible doesn't work with GSM so it would be the Incredible S but they just forgot to add the S lol!

i had the same problem when i bought the galaxy s, every one calls it galaxy, so i think you are having the same problem
