I do agree with you on a couple of things. First, i also made the transition from WoW to Aion and it was very hard to get used to the heavy grind in Aion and i almost quit the game when i reached level 47-48, i even leveled from 49 to 50 by doing gathering repeatable quests :P. But we should always take into consideration that this game was never friendly for the western players, it was developed with Asians mind, who love grinding and have no problem with it. As for the combat system and animation, i agree that lock on animation was annoying at start but then i got used to it, beyond that i think the combat system was amazing, it's kinda surprising that you said u felt it was limited cz i rarely felt that, and especially since i played a similar class as urs, a 55 sorcerer. I felt more depth in this system than in WoW.
The people who left Aion back in the days, they cursed NCSoft and promised not to ever come back, ended up coming back in 2.0. I think the same thing will happen in 3.0, players will want to give it another try simply because deep inside they know the game is really good but lacks things that can be fixed and added.
NCSoft did mess up a lot, they banned players who had no idea about botting or anything like it, and sometimes left players who were botting the whole time. In the end, the main problem in my opinion is that NCSoft (Korea) did not give enough power for NCWest to make changes that fit more with the western players and that was a main downfall for the game in the west.

This is why I don't like f2p games. Only rich people IRL are able to get the best out of things, unless you would like to spend all night grinding for in game money to trade it with item shop money.
In any case, I'm ordering Rift from pcandparts, it sounds pretty much interesting, can't wait to start it :).
Anyone else by any chance playing it ?
Badieh
Today I learned that pcandparts only got the activation code.... not the actual RIFT client which is 7.5gigs.... I'm so upset :(. Why would anyone want to pay for 56$ + 5$ shipment from pcandparts when they can buy the code for 50$ online .... >.>

Forsaken World is really nice...worth a try

the best (and fastest) MMORPG, that started it all:

Forsaken World is a F2P, which obviously means it has item shop. I don't like those :(.
Chaos game is a text based one, I dont think I'll quit WoW for that hehe.
Anyone ever bought a game or other from Amazon.com ?
They have
RIFT, looks like it's a DVD as well:
What do you think guys ?

Why dont you just download Rift over 5 nights or so....
Badieh
Downloading Rift will cost me around 80$. That is of course other than the game which is 50$. Moreover, let us not forget that the game got an on going patching since it just came out, so there will be even more downloads.
I don't have an unlimited night traffic.
Badieh
lol ac1d, actually not having unlimited night traffic is my sole reason to scold cyberia whenever the internet gets crappy.
I'm going to try and see if Nino has RIFT before going for Amazon.com.
You are right Firas, after a while, when you do most of the in game achievements, WoW gets boring. Even with new content, it is just the same old same old rinse and repeat.

Can you PM me if Nino has rift..
Thanks in advance.

Sadly Nino doesn't have the game.
I tried to order Rift from Amazon, but they require a zip code, and whatever I've put there, it says that they cannot deliver this product to the requested destination :(.

best MMORPG i ever played is runescape
Badieh
I heard Runescape is what started WoW, but once WoW was released many left runescape for it. Now, after 6 years of WoW, people might start leaving it to look for some other games lol.
zizo99
yeah maybe but not for members and there is always new update in it
i think its the best mmorpg graphic java based game
i play runescape from 3 years i quit many times but always i come back

well you guys always try to find the worse out of it , you just WANT it to die , i've seen every single other "replica" trying to replace WoW and they were all FAILURE to me,gameplay and story like this one HEAVEN VS HELL are you freaking kidding me? what's next bees vs flowers ?:P ( i forgot the name of it )
anyway my opinion WoW is 6 years old , and will be living for at least 2 more expansions ( each expansion 2 years , means cata 2 years + 2 +2 .... 6 other years ) , but still my point of view.

I've been playing Dream Of Mirror Online, or Domo for short, for about 3 years now, starting just a few months after open beta ended.
It's a F2P "social" MMO, or so they say. It's not bad with PvE, although you'll only really enjoy it after you get to a high lvl and band with the tough nuts of the game.
PVP? It's not the best, but it's indispensable for players who want to get an extra 50 % attack power and numerous other buffs. Basically, you fight and fight and fight. At the end of the month, if you're top, you'll get the sword which gives you those buffs. Makes lvling a hellava lot easier, especially if you're soloing and using a DPS job (Damage Per Second).
The game is purely in 3D without any IP bans on players from the Middle East. Sadly, there aren't that many from there to begin with. Seven to be exact, including myself.
Graphics? Well, for those playing WoW or Runes of Magic, do not go to DOMO if looks matter to you.
Gameplay? I can't say. I've been playing because I had so few MMO choices playable from Lebanon. You must see for yourself.
Internet Speed? 1 megabyte/sec on DOMO is the same as 1 gigabyte/sec on WoW. Anything less works.
The requirements themselves are pretty low.
I'd recommend this game to a player who is not hardcore and has little on his mind. It's a go-with-the-flow game, regardless of whatever drama and whatknot you may encounter on the chat channels or forums. The company that developed Domo is Softstar (chinese), published by Aeria Games (USA)
Hit me up if you're ever in town.

DOMO looks cute.
I'll share my experience with RIFT so far. It feels like a jinxed game.
At first, after downloading the 8.4gig game, we ended up the second day with corrupted files from downloading a patch they released. So with recovery, we downloaded 2.6gigs. After which our Windows OS decide to die, so we formatted. Then the account got glitched at some place giving a send error report whenever we log in.
For a month now, I can say we only played like 4 times LOL.... >.> Now i think we need to hit another 1.8gigs recovery.
However, despite all of that, the game looks and feels good. There are so many customizations that it is hard to say this is the cookie cutter build. Even for the looks, you rarely see two that look the same. All in all, it is a very enjoyable game to play if only they fix those glitches. (Kind of normal seeing it only was released a month ago).
