Poor? ;) I don't think so.
Poor may not necessarily mean just poor economically, they are poor in their will which keeps them hooked to this game, poor in their ability to benefit the society and nation in something useful, poor because even if they may be rich right now one day when they may lose everything and find that they wasted their time, their experience and mental abilities in poker or other games and cant guarantee for them a decent employment when they start to fall. Anyways no one would employ a broke gambler because they wouldn't even trust him. Again I am not generalizing but thats a case that could happen with any gambler.
The key is moderation.
I agree with you but I think when addiction kicks in there can be no more consideration for moderation.
