Hello there,
Since I'm a sports fanatic, I love predicting match results in Football, tennis and other...
It turned out my predictions are most of the time correct...
I once tried to bet on a very reliable website (forgot the name, might be BWIN) on some football game, wanting to bet 15 $ on a 2-0 score, and I would have won 250 $ if it was right.
Unfortunately, when it came to filling credit card informations, it turned out people from Lebanon couldn't bet on this website, and guess what was the score ? ;)

So my question is: Do you know any reliable Lebanese sports betting websites or an international one that works for Lebanon ?

Maybe I can use those "Internet Credit Cards" which are made for internet transactions or so ?

Any help would be appreciated

Agree with Mr. Class, if you save all that money you spend on betting and invest them in something such as a small project with a bright idea you can be making much more than 250$ in the long run. Plus its a bad habit, you can start by betting with small amounts and later one when your completely hooked on betting you could start to waste more money on it.

Speaking pure business, it would be really a great money making idea to create a local Lebanese betting site with online payment via Mastercard and Visa but I find it unethical(though legal) to work on such a thing that will be making people lose their money without any benefit most of the time.

I would have loved doing that, because it is yet to be seen in Lebanon and I know it can work well, but the problem is I'm only 15 :p
As for betting, I shall bet under my father's name, of course with his approval.

My max amount per month would be like 30 $, and would be some of my pocket money ;)

You make it sound like gambling is part of children's rights lol

If from now your starting to bet there is a big probability that by your 20s you will be spending your salary in the casino, all I can say is: this is bad for you in the long run, you can develop bad habits from it and I guess you already as you started planning how much you're going to spend each month on it.

My advice for you: focus on your studies, learn something new(programming for example), try to do something that can affect your future positively in this time and money you're spending on betting, in addition try not to follow what your friends may be doing, sometimes peer pressure is bad and remember: "The right way is not always popular, the popular is not always right".

Really man try to stop it regardless of how luring it may appear. Good luck.

Thanks for your advice, Ayman, I haven't talked of it to my dad yet, but you're right, I think he would ban me from using the internet.
Actually my studies isn't a problem, I've got a 16.5 average grade at school and I can speak French, English, Arabic and Spanish pretty well.
Speaking of Programming, it is something really interesting... But I don't where or how to learn that !

Dude, don't be stupid. Stop thinking about this betting none-sense, it will simply screw up your life. You will not win any money on the long run. Yes you might enjoy some profits for now, but eventually you'll sell your soul to the devil to pay off your debts. I wish I had someone encouraging me to learn programming when I was your age, because you have no idea how rewarding this career could be, if you put your heart, time and effort into it. Stick to programming and you'll be making $250 an hour in the future, but only if you become good enough to deserve it. Nothing comes easily after all, right? :)

Thanks Kassem, I'm giving up on this idea, but really, I would have been able to control myself, because like I said I just wanted to make more POCKET MONEY, and I would never bet my salary !

Programming isn't really my thing, though I'm interested in learning some things, but I would never stick to it.
Perhaps I would like to have a career in finance or marketing, something with numbers, money, etc, because Maths is where I most succeed :)

If you're so much bothered you can sue me :P Plus I can say whatever I want, I am not lecturing nor forcing anyone I am just trying to give advice to the guy. In the end we are still human beings and when we see something is wrong we have to mention it thats all.

Sometimes off-topics are worth having in a thread because if we just stick to answering him exactly what he asked for we can be hurting him for the long run.

Nice to hear that, you're good at school and you are a young gentleman just work on your future invest in yourself, enjoy your age and don't waste your money thats all what I meant to say as an advice, I am not trying to order or lecture anyone its just an advice and you are of course free to choose your way of life. The thing is I just wanted to try, and if it worked right, bet more but never go beyond the limits.

Marketing is actually one of my favorite subjects! If I weren't a programmer/developer I would've definitely been a marketer. Unfortunately, marketing managers do not get paid what they deserve in Lebanon, unless they're working for a huge off-shore company. Programming is actually what is referred to as "applied mathematics". When you program, you're actually doing math behind the scenes. Unfortunately, I'm not really good at Math (ok who am I kidding, I suck when it comes to math!), but thankfully that is not hindering my programming career. But I have to admit that sometimes it takes me a little more effort to understand a programming concept because I am not aware of the theoretical math behind it.

I don't plan to work in Lebanon, since I have a big part of my family living in Europe, and I've got a French passport.
Plus, speaking 4 languages will surely help me, and I'm even planning on learning Chinese :p

Gambling is not at all a minor threat to someone's life when compared to doing drugs. Some research might help you realize that. Almost the same hormones are released in your brain whether you're addicted to drugs or to gambling. Both of those are addictive, and both of those could lead to some major fucked up actions.
