I am looking for an android based tablet computer. I want something which runs flash- so that puts ipad out. Also I would like it to be 10", so that would put Samsung out.

I heard that some new google Froyo android devices have been going in the market. Have anything reached lebanon? what brand? where can we buy them?
The Froyo device you are talking about are phones... The 2.3 Gingerbread and 3.0 Honeycomb android are only for tablets right now...
So I really do advise you to buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab :D
It's going to be one of the best since 3G will be in lebanon soon
Monkey Luffy: Galaxy tab is smallish, 7" does not really allow you to read ebooks confortably.
Honeycomb is more what i am looking for.

Samer: yes the motorola xoom is what i was thinking of. But for some reason i have apprehension against Motorola from mobile phones. plus the xoom is the first real tablet based on android- do motorola have experience in that android smarthphones before they launch into tablets? If it were HTC, i would have bought it. But motorola? did they have their bugs sorted out? is it a good stable machine? or will it have bad surprises (like lack of multitasking or other stuff that you find out only after buying the device)
I suggest that you wait few weeks, and then you will see a lot of reviews on the Internet, based on these reviews you may take a decision (also you will have to wait several weeks in all cases, tell the Xoom arrives to Lebanon).

It does have multi-tasking capabilities. Check this out to know more about its features. But yeah, just like Samer99 said, wait a few weeks and see what people have to say about it.

Smallish yes but it's worth it :P
Trust me
And for the motorola... well owning an hTC Android, i can say that when I browse the market and I read the specification of what I what to buy, there is a lot of app who aren't compatible with Motorola Droid
mmm just get an iPad and install Skyfire for flash.
I think the best is to stick to Samer's opinion, wait a few weeks, see the Xoom reviews, wait for it to get to lebanon, and see meanwhile if any worthy competitor for tablets shows up, Hopefully HTC...
m0ei wrotemmm just get an iPad and install Skyfire for flash.
nah it's not the same

i'm still waiting on the iPad 2 to see what apple has up their sleeves.... if there isn't an OS to compete with honeycomb then the ipad is gonna hit some rough waters

but since most people are mac drones it's still gonna sell like crazy
there won't be any homebutton in the new iPad, they are gonna make it like the Macbook touchpad, swipe 3 fingers or 4 fingers.
Ofc it's going to come with a front and back camera. I think a 5mp back and vga front.
I don't think they will make a new ipad less powerful Hardware as the current tablets in stores. So i'll say hardware iPad 2 will be = to hardware Xoom motorola.

For the people waiting for a Bluetooth tranfer with all devices for the iPhone, just wait couple of weeks, Cocoanutsapps the ones that made Yourtube, safari download manage and MarkRead, are currently working on a bluetooth application called "celeste" like iBluenova(sadly it doesnt work on iOS 4) but music will be added to the iPod.

edit: if you have a jailbreakes iPhone, you can simply install Frash from cydia. Repo= repo.benm.at
it will be integrated with safari + you can enable and disable it with sbsettings toggle. I think it's the best sollution to view flash of the iPhone BUT THEY ARE STILL WORKING ON IT, you cAn view ads till now and some specific websites.
yes i'm aware of the rumored modifications to the upcoming tablet but the problem lies in the os ... iOS is a great operating system ... for iphones and ipods, but it just makes the ipad an inflated ipod which kinda kills the whole idea behind it ... so no matter how much they modify the hardware, if it's still the same iOS it's still subpar to honeycomb

and frash is not even an option, flash is already somewhat unstable so i wouldn't even think of considering installing something like frash which itself is also unstable (unstable squared ? ?)

Can we honestly compare an OS that's already in the market to an OS that hasn't even reach maturity ?

subpar is relative, iOS in its current state may be subpar to you, but it might be superior for a lot people.

Very well, we'll discuss this further upon the releases of the honeycomb tablets and iPad 2.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE what honeycomb is doing, but i'm waiting for IPad 2 and honeycomb to get released to see what i'm going to get.
Now this doesn't answer the original question: OS comparison (trolling?) set aside, what are the PC tablets available in Lebanon and what are their price ranges.
