I'm also thinking of doing this. But AFAICT it seems they do not ship worldwide, nor ship to freight forwarders. See here

I am trying to get it with a friend of mine but it seems it is locked to T-Mobile even without a contract, I am trying to find if it can be unlocked before I get it to Lebanon.

To be clear the Nexus S will work with a SIM card from a carrier other than T-Mobile. It will be able to send and receive both calls and texts. It will even support data access – just not 3G data access. For a smartphone designed to integrate with Google's services (not to mention other apps and Internet functionality), not supporting 3G effectively makes the phone unusable for many tasks. It will also function with 3G on a selection of international carriers.

Seems the only limitation is 3G... otherwise it should accept Lebanese SIM cards.

yep that is what I found out and I do not use 3G so I ordered it :)

Just got the device :)
It is amazing! when I turned it on it asked me to update to 2.3.2 and it was seamless.

I managed to import all my contacts(after synching them with gmail) and SMSes from my iphone.
Installed lots of widgets in few minutes.
synched my emails (including my work exchange + calendar).

I am still getting used to it, but the experience so far is very nice and smooth.
I am getting everyone with an iphone4 in the office jealous :)

Got it from the US. I couldn't find it in Lebanon. It cost me 580$ from bestbuy. They r the only store in the us to actually have it. )

Everything is fully operational except arabic.
Android 2.3 does not support it still although they mention they do in the API but it is broken.

So far I find the browser slower than the iPhone I think it is an android thing as I tried the same sites on HTC desire and Samsung galaxy. The iphone has the best browsing experience especially with sitess that have a lot ofpictures.

its a bit slower then iphone yes because of flash that run on some sites, current android versions 1.X and 2.X dont support hardware acceleration to help sites render faster but google said that this is coming soon, then the browsing experince will better then the iphone's.

I am testing sites that do not have flash just lots of images. I know the main UI does not take full usage of the hardware acceleration but it seems that neither the browser does. Contrary to what I thought there isn't a lot of good looking games on the android (ie need for speed or some advanced 3d game...)
