HON vs LOL vs DOTA

I played HoN for a while and its damn awesome, Its just like Dota but with improved graphic, also the interface is the same, same classes and stuff, like ranged, melee, caster etc.

As for LoL i hear its meh, not as good as HoN.

Valve is making Dota 2, Its just a couple of months away

The Current DotA Like Games and "Heirs To The Throne if DotA 2 Fails " which is Highly Unlikely :

F2P : League of Legends , Now yes it does have an item shop but you buy cosmitc and vaity items with real money ( Custom Skins and such ) but you buy Glyphs ( Game Improving Runes very minor advantage but still ) With IP which are gained by winning games , and there is a Talent Tree , and Summoner spells , Basically the Guys who worked on LoL and still are are Ex-Dota and Blizzard Devs and managers trying to add stuff to LoL that didn t exist in DotA .

B2P :HoN , Don't Be Fooled , It is the EXACT same thing as DotA but with Better Graphics , Now some people are arguing about the Fact that S2 ( HoN Devs ) Are messing up all the champions and items , which is "partially" cause every new hero that is added gets nerfed like the second day or something . Community ............ Imagine WoW Trade Chat ..... yup that s The HoN community ^-^ ( not all of the community but most of it Just to clarify { i come in Peace (^-^)_\/ } )

Also B2P you Have Blood Line Champions ....... This game ....... what can i say , It is All Skill ..... really No items , no levels no nothing Just Plain Skill ....... It's Arena type but i mean Here's The combat : You cannot Target anything or anyone it's All Skillshot , Heals , AoE , Attacks , Ulti Everything you have to aim it at a direction the enemy or ally you wanna heal is , Very competitive & Skill requiring

F2P LOCO : Land of Chaos Online , Well i haven't Tried it myself but my friends did and they were like : Stay Away FAR Away , Cause the item shop you buy stuff off with real money Give you InGame Items ..... and yes they are OP

DotA 2 : You Have IceFrog + Valve ............ What Can possibly Go Wrong !!! sadly everything is still Even possibly Pre-Alpha the only things you can Find are Concept Art .

HoN is by far superior to any of its current competitions in pretty much every aspect. Can't comment on DotA 2 because it doesn't exist yet.

Xterm can you Define Superior please ? I mean do you mean superior in Game Mechanics and Graphics or Superior in Competition and Fanbase ... Cause i play all 3 : BLC , LoL & HoN , And i only Very VERY briefly Played DotA . but Even in that time i felt Like HoN is a 100% Copycat Excluding the Graphics .

Personal Opinion is That BLC Requires The Most Skill to play , And LoL & HoN Well i would Lean to LoL's Side .

And Firas Please tell me If you have or haven't Had this scenario before : A guy rushes in and dies alone , You are like at 25% health and going back to the base and he sees you leaving , all enemies have 100% health , He Dies and what does he say ?: ZomG Can't Believe This Freaking nO_ob , leaving me alone , We Could've Killed Them !!!11!!!Eleven!!1!!!!

hahahha , Backdooring actually ............... Well it started in DotA as a No No technically there is some misconception about it , The way IceFrog Wanted Backdooring to Work Was : if From in to out , you have 3 towers , If Tower 3 is still standing , 2 and 1 Are invulnerable , That was how they were "preventing Backdooring " but this right here is just RoflPWN .

Anyways LoL well it also has it's Community Flaws but since LoL has a Larger Fanbase welllll it's Less likely to end up with one of them . I Might've Gotten Lucky but i met some pretty nice people in both HoN and LoL . But yes the Majority are ............. "Please Watch the Video "

It's no secret that HoN copied DotA, they even stated on their website during beta that they took Icefrog's permission to copy certain mechanics. That said, HoN builds on top of DotA's mechanics to provide first and foremost a better online experience.

I'm not going to mention graphics, because despite its greatness, it hardly matters to a hardcore competitive gamer.

1- Incredible amount of servers located all around the world.
2- Crash and disconnect scenarios handled tastefully.
3- Insane amount of heroes and items unrivaled by dota and its competitors.
4- It's matchmaking system and rating system and balancing system are very nice.
5- 24/7 moderation
6- Constant updates, new content and follow up, almost instant bug fixes.

Simply put, you can move from DotA to HoN in a single day without having much of a problem adjusting to the mechanics and yet you can still get an amazing experience.

In the end, DotA has the most fan base and it is more than likely that when DotA 2 comes out, everyone will try/move to it. But just as how HoN and somewhat LoL copied concepts from DotA, DotA 2 will copy aspects of these games to deliver the same experience and more additions.

Games are a matter of taste, I'm a hardcore DotA player but i just couldn't pass out on what HoN brings to the table. LoL did not suite my needs, when i tried it, it did not show good prospect for the future, things might be different now.

When Did you try LoL Exactly ? i ve been playing it for abt 9 months and Been playing HoN ........ Since Early CBT .

Cause All the things you mentioned actually Exist in LoL .

And Ofc i do agree on the Fact it is a Matter of Taste , But one quick Notice , if i remember Correctly , DotA still has the most Heroes ........ i think .

The credit card have to be the electron one, you know the one which you can buy stuff online with it

there is a great game called "Demigod" its awesome, its gameplay is similar to dota, but it has 8 heroes, and the graphics are amazing...!
