Decreased Internet speed

who the hell is that dude who's got 900KB/s?

I have a problem with the internet connection, I hacked a wireless network since 2 months ago
using backtrack 3 and the download speed during the day was around 20KB/sec but at night between
3:00 and 9:00am it was crazy around 900KB/sec !!!
I downloaded around 15GB in 3 days!!! But now it's limited all the time to 15KB/sec :S
Does anyone have a way so i can get that speed back ???

There's not much you can do to "get it back". He probably noticed someone was abusing it and started throttling it at night.

guess you must have been connection to one of those "cable guys" who un-limit the speed at night and then the owner noticed something weird is going on and either throttled you alone or stopped the entire night speed sharing idea

either ways I envy you, I wish I had some wireless cable-guy connection with speeds like that only protected by WEP ;_;

this happened with me , like 5 years ago , i had internet from a cable guy , he told me its from a company named "Global", he had a lots of clients , at night if there is no one online I take all the connection like 1/MBYTE per second
it was like heaven until other clients knew it :P

Global ? As in Global Proof ? As in the Whole VISP incident in 2008 that broke the company to so many pieces it's not even funny ? Global Proof isn't legal ......... oh who am i kidding , like if anyone cares if they're legal or not

can we stop this nonsense please? how do you "fix" the internet connection's speed?

You probably caught a guy who had a weird subscription to some cable internet that had no cap at night.
1 - You probably exhausted his quota and the FUP kicked in and now he has reduced internet OR he noticed the increase and limited the speed himself.
2 - You shouldn't crack other peoples wifi, especially for a leecher like you who seems to be ignorant about quotas on top of that.

You did a BAD thing and should be ashamed of yourself.

I don't understand why are you nagging about this decrease in Internet speed, while in fact, you are stealing this connection from somebody else.

In other words... إشكر ربك يا حبوب!

Have you ever heard in 'Fair Usage Policy"?? yes its Lebanon, you should have used that connection wisely, abusing the crap out of it will obviously get you or the ISP "FUP'ed", sure thing he noticed the extreme leech you did in those 3 days so he basically re-capped the night speed.

And you can never get that speed back unless you ask that guy personally and tell him that you've been steeling his bandwidth and you'd like to get that 1MB speed back, not a good decision obviously.
