Bassem wroteBashLogic what is your reason to protest against the use of Google Chrome?
well at least for the following reasons:
- google supported Mozilla to get "free resources" for chrome
- the roadmap of chrome is not for it to remain as a standalone application (which is my personal preference)
- chrome is desginated to be a core framework for webapps that google wants to dominate. hence becoming the next microsoft, google actually already is the next microsoft that we so hated about microsoft.
- chrome gathers info about your activity thru integration with other google apps
- I have not seen or experienced anything revolutionary in chrome to bother changing to it, its just another interpreted version modified to googles own interest.
- with the systems that i work on, I really have not noticed major performance issues to its favor while multitasking (most of my browsing occurs while multitasking).
- with "one more browser" in the market, there is more that requires customization in web development.
one of the things that people are overlooking in regards to chrome is that google is kind of doing what apple did, it is pushing its own applications and standards forcing people to use its products. if you pay attention to google products of how integrated and cross dependent they are, if you create something that runs on chrome, it is "guaranteed" to functions on android. if apple is forcing to use h5 instead of flash on iphone, google is doing the same but in a more sneaky way.
google is not the nice big brother, google is the big brother that has its own product suites each developed to serve a particular requirements in its commercial cathedral. one of the reasons why ive been using bing lately, brake the monopoly, I HATE MONOPOLY!!!!!!!!!!!
