Hey guys,
I'm traveling in few hours to KSA from 4 days and I'm planning to get a laptop from there now my options were a high-end ASUS or Samsung (quality/price is the best) now check out jarir's website:
http://www.jarirbookstore.com/html/weeklyads.asp
if you check the December release, there're 3 interesting laptops:
1- Toshiba Qosmio F60-111: 4799 SAR ~ 1280 USD
2- Samsung RF510: 4299 SAR ~ 1147 USD
3- ASUS ..but it's not there...it's i5, 1GB VGA Dedicated, 4GB RAM, 15.4" as I remember for like 3900 SAR ~ 1040 USD

Now I don't want a HUGE laptop so I'm going for 15" also I'll be using it for web development mainly (netbeans, photoshop....also will be installing Ubuntu on it)

What do you think? Samsung is releasing some really good machines for a good price and the model i posted with 2GB dedicated VGA is something!

My budget is about ~1100-1200 USD

I'm not necessarily going to buy it from Jarir (Dammam) as I know other places with cheaper prices.

Man are you serious?! I've read a lot of reviews about samsung laptops lately (some hit models)..they are delivering a good quality laptops...now if you know that their support isn't good (for example) then please post the link...

Please guys, only helpful posts..
Dear Xhack, we could help you better if you post the model number for that Asus so we can compare the three devices. Asus is making amazing lappies these days, and Samsungs are not bad. But if you are planning to use the laptop in Lebanon, i think it would be better to go with Toshiba bcz of the abundance of their parts here and ease of finding service (regardless of the machine itself, i always advise ppl to go for the laptop whose brand is most popular in their country).
