omarmasri wroteyea Avo I know that and I have been thinking if I should get one of them or get a modem router combo maybe getting a router is a better choice. what do you think ?
PS: I now have the D Link 2640u from ogero the problem with this router is that the antenna has broken and the coverage has become very low
Keep that D-Link! Seriously, one of the best modems in here in terms of latencies and such. Check Kareem's ADSL Modem Comparison Test. http://lebgeeks.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=11394
Get a router and connect it to the modem. I'd recommend my TP-Link TL-WR1043ND, as it has EXCELLENT Wi-Fi Range and is easily flashable to OpenWRT should you decide to do so. Its stock firmware is stable enough, but it doesn't have as many features as other premium routers (it has what you basically need though).
You'll have a better value if you just get a router. You'll be able to flash 3rd party firmwares such as OpenWRT etc. I heard the TL-WR1043ND is pretty good. It's a high end router that doesn't cost much. You can call Top-Electronics to know the price, they are the TP-Link resellers of Lebanon.
It's your choice now, either get a low end Linksys/Cisco or a high end TP-Link for about the same price.

May be someone answered this question already, but I have to ask. I am not happy with the wireless router + dsl modem that was provided by Ogero. We use Facetime to the talk to my sister in the U.S. and it keeps reconnecting like crazy. So, I have decided to buy Netgear dgnd3700 (wireless router and dsl modem combo). Any recommendations about Netgear? will it work with Ogero's DSL? Can I program it or do I need to send it Ogero to do it? Thank you so much...
Do you have your DSL settings? (username, password for pppoe, and VPI/VCI)
Hey guys, I think Cyberia is now selling Technicolor Routers, any idea if they are good?
