I am still a bit skeptical as to whether they really did install these "Stealth-like" Radars or not. The thing is that everyday on the weekend, I drive/am driven to my University(HCU) which I take the Saida-Beirut highway and the thing is that till now, I have yet to see any "new" installed stationary radars. What's funny is that when I ask some people, they tell me they're the ones with the big 2 cameras, but I reply "those Big Square-looking ones? those are the old-ones you dummy!" Another thing is that in the report(link above) they mentioned that the radars are Mobile, yet so far I've only seen once a Cop measuring speed in his car and since the road is narrow with a wide view left and right, there isn't that many places a cop can hide(or how far a Speed-gun can measure). However, Sometimes they are normal cars that are parked on the side of the highway, kinda makes you wonder if they're being smart and switched to "unmarked" mode eh? :P I am suspecting psychological warfare, I am even starting to question if the recent statistics are valid or manipulated to get us to believe. Also, if it is valid, I don't think a 1-month report is enough to conclude that the "plan" is successful, it should be minimum 4-months I believe.
To be honest, they should just install normal Stationary Speed Cams hidden behind billboards every here-n- there and fix some traffic signs(some being vandalized I see :/ )
